There are so many subpar restaurants in Chelsea and the meatpacking district which are bursting at the seams with patrons while Zemi remains relatively undiscovered. The food here is great and the drink specials are unbeatable! I have never eaten a pulled pork sandwich this good (ask for extra sauce) or any sandwich really (except maybe the Stonker at Cosi in Paris). The crab rangoon dumplings are out of this world. Mary, the owner, is all about good food and service. They have a variety of tasty cocktails to choose from - the blue dragon and emperor's team come to mind. And the prices! Let's just say you will be full, happy and tipsy and your wallet won't suffer.
