WHAT A RIPOFF. The first and only previous time I went to this place was about a year ago, and that experience was about the opposite of this. The chicken plate I selected (from their deceivingly long and impressive/electice-sounding menu) looked like a joke; the tiniest portion of rice and slab of overcooked chicken ever, literally encompassing 1/3 of the plate and garnished with basil flakes to hide the fact the plate was nearly empty and what was on it was terribly salty and gross. It's not like I'm expecting or wanting to binge on a ton of food, but when your plate arrives and everyone around you laughs it's definitely a bad sign. Beer was good, but of course they didn't have half the ones our party requested available in-house, not to mention that there is no indication of price anywhere on the beer menu leaving whether you're selecting a $5 or $15 beer to the imagination. Err on the side of $10 or so per beer, multiply it by a normal-sized party of 5 or so, add in OK but somewhat flaky service, and consider the tiny portions...and I conclude that this place has gone downhill fast. Hipster haven, pricey, and bad. I'd rather go to the Ivy for the price, and I HATE the Ivy. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED. Plenty of truly GOOD non-chain restaurants in town so spend your time/money elsewhere.
