What made this place so special is clearly, everything about it! It was challenging to find because it's tucked away in a somewhat residential area. We were greeted like kings by a friendly host and given a table next to the fireplace. The interior is cozy, and elegant and yet it feels casual and unpretentious. For a starter we had baked baby eggplant that was stuffed with different cheeses and served on spicy marinara. It was luscious and gave eggplant a whole new trend! I was feeling like pasta but once the server showed us a plate with their daily specials, the real dilemma kicked in .I couldn't resist the fresh Alaskan halibut, which turned out to be a great choice. The halibut was fresh, grilled and juicy with roasted bell peppers and cognac sauce. I loved it ! My husband had the homemade pasta with truffle oil , wild mushrooms and Alfredo sauce. I don't usually care for Alfredo sauce, but I tried a little ,and it was sinful! The wine list impressed us. You don't find Vibreti Giovanni Barolos from 1990's very often on wine lists. The server informed us that they also had a rare Barolo selections from 1961. Now that's remarkable for a local Italian restaurant. We ""settled "" for Tri Corno Super Toscano, which was suggested to us. It was thick and complex, with deep raspberry flavor and satin finish They don't have a sommelier, but I can assure you that their staff knows how to pair your meal with perfect choice of wine. Looks like the owner not only takes pride in serving phenomenal food , but he also seems to be a great wine connoisseur. We ended our meal with Tiramisu, which was light a delicious, a perfect end to a royal meal! Pros: food, wine, service, private parking lot Cons: hidden
