The past several years my husband has sworn by Pro Lube, until the last two years that is when they have failed me for inspection for the same 800 plus dollar job, claiming my car failed for emissions because the pipe that contains the catalytic converter was broken beyond repair and we need a new one. We had them fix it. During the repair they put the clamp on upside down, giving my car no more than an inch of clearance, in winter, needless to say I was concerned by how much I bottomed out, finally my concerns reached my husband who fixed the clamp, but the damage was apparently already done because when we returned to Pro Lube I failed for cracks in the pipe, when told that the cracks were in fact their fault they refused to fix the problems and even suggested the same replacement part. They are either really stupid or think that we are! They also have a rather obnoxious sign above the register that says, ""We don't bring eggs to your restaurant, don't bring parts to our auto shop"" Yet the price for their parts seems so much more expensive that the part I could obtain on my own. My husband while fixing my car from its latest fail has also noticed that the pipe they replaced last year does not fit thus causing the leak that they found. Needless to say we will be finding ourselves another mechanic, and all of my friends, family and any strangers I meet will be warned against Pro Lube's wicked ways.
