This place is a must see along your trip on 89A to Flagstaff. The fish hatchery is unique and educational. The natural springs feed the park area and provide pristine, crisp, natural tasting water the way it was intended to taste in the first place. People who are lucky enough to live here don't leave. It's a paradise and possibly the best kept secret in Northern Arizona. You can catch a trout in the pond and the people working there will clean (fillet) and wrap it for your trip. Ice is available along with fresh beverages. You can buy a cooler to bring your catch home or just Bar-b-que on the spot, as they are all around if you want to make a lunch date of it. The setting is incredibly beautiful as you are surrounded by the natural beauty of Oak Creek Canyon and it's mountains. It's easy to miss this turn off, so keep your eyes open for Rainbow Trout Farm 4 miles from town.
