Review content:
We have lived in Georgetown for 1 year now and unfortunately we are stuck there until our son is out of elementary school. When we first looked at Georgetown we were really pleased, it seemed very nice and very well maintained. Since we moved in we realized things aren?t always as they appear! Georgetown?s main website states these are luxury townhomes, Triple Crown wouldn?t know a luxury townhome if they tripped over it. If you want to see luxury, go look at the townhomes built by either Hogan or Yingst. From the paint, to the flooring/carpet, to the bottom of the line appliances Triple Crown took short cuts everywhere they possibly could. We pay over $1300.00 a month to live in these mediocre at best townhomes. They painted the entire place with flat paint, it shows EVERY little flaw & oh my lord is there flaws everywhere. You can see the drywall tape seams in all the ceilings of every room, they ceilings are very rippled. The carpet is a dingy looking beige/brown and the flooring they used in the kitchen, bathrooms & entrance way is horrible. The entry way flooring is bubbling and the seams are coming apart, the corners are lifting. The kitchen floor looks like it always has dirt marks on it because anytime anything hard falls on it, the flooring splits. The blinds are horrible, again the cheapest thing they could find. Last winter I saw other tenants putting plastic over their windows & I thought what in the heck are they doing that for, we soon found out! There is NO insulation in these places whatsoever. You can feel air coming in around the windows all the time. The upstairs is FREEZING in the winter and HOT in the summer. You can see daylight out around the pipes in the basement. There are BUGS everywhere in this place, in the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms we kill those silverfish bugs constantly and downstairs there are always centipedes. Over the summer you couldn?t even enjoy the deck because of the spiders and moths. In the morning our whole front porch and back door would be covered with spiders and moths?GROSS!!! The appliances are a joke, the refrigerator makes horrible banging noises and freezes all produce, the dishwasher never cleans everything the 1st time through, the garbage disposal has backed up 3-4 times needing maintenance to come (we didn?t have use of the kitchen sink for 2 days the 1 time) one of the times we put cooked noodles down it?! It takes the dryer over 2 hours to dry an average load of laundry .The list goes on and on. Then to top off the actually living experience the girls in the office are beyond bitchy. I am not sure where they think they work, but just because you think you work for some prestigious luxury townhome community, you don?t! They need to brush up on their customer service skills, if the tenants calling and asking questions is really that annoying, maybe they should rethink their profession. If it wasn?t for the tenants you wouldn?t have a job! I?m not sure what kind of screening process they use anymore, since newer tenants are starting to look more and more like Jerry Springer show stars. I give this place a year or so and it will look no better than some inner city project housing community or trailer park!
Pros: location; school district
Cons: Everything else
