This place is great! I spent two nights there, but i wish i could have stayed more. This hotel has been in Long Beach since 1967 and it actually use to have a steady flow of about 2,000 people. It slowly drifted off as she aged, but i think it's time she be appreciated again. There is no reason for such a beautiful, historical landmark to go to waste. Can you believe they were going to sink her at one point? Everyone who works there is so friendly, the food is great, the beds are amazing, there's lots to do, it's beautiful in the morning out on the deck, and the price we got for the room was outstanding. We got to take multiple tours including a ghost encounters tour (The Queen Mary is known for being haunted), a russian submarine tour, and a tour about world war II. You really feel like your in a 1930's film when you walk in there. Out room was very roomy, it was very clean, and we met some interesting people! She is run down in a few parts of the ship, but they really do try to maintain her. She just needs some more visitors. Ships are expensive to maintain! I highly recommend you stay at the queen mary, or even just go take some day tours they offer, the next time you are in Long Beach, California.
