Review content:
Strangely enough, I have been all over Houston to many restaurants, cafes, and businesses, but I had not tried Crescent City Beignet until this morning. It started with a friendly rendezvous with a friend, and when I approached the counter to seek help in my order, I was verbally abused by the cashier/server, threatened by what appeared to be a patron and friend of the manager, and treated with the utmost disrespect by the manager. Swiftly, as I had turned my back to leave, the manager had already begun to yell at me and threaten me to never return. Me not returning is the obvious factor. Seated closely to Lamar High School, my guess is the establishment does not know how to treat professional adults. The manager even insulted the type of vehicle I was driving as ""not even expensive."" I find it difficult to see what this has to do with professionalism or my patronage. The cafe was reported to the a business bureau this morning, and I am working on locating the owner of the establishment. I believe businesses deserve a 2nd chance, but the owner/manager needs to be aware of the less than courteous service. Patrons beware. Pros: Inside the loop French pastry Cons: Service service service
