I had to reverse out some suspension upgrades on my BMW 545 and only a few shops have experience with mods on cars like this. After checking around with other well known performance shops I was disenchanted with costs that were either twice what it should be or obnoxious nonresponsiveness (""we'll get a price together and call you back in 5 minutes""...still waiting). I checked around on some forums and came up with a few other names including Vortex. After talking to them I immediately wanted to take it there even though it is about 60 miles from my home in Sarasota to their shop near the airport on Hillsborough Ave. The price was fair, they were responsive and easy to deal with over the phone. My gut feeling was verified with the work they did. As I sat in the waiting room a few of the techs came through for various reasons and all took a moment to say hi or let me know how the work was going. The office manager showed me around the facility, which is very large, and not only can they do just about anything on a car, but they have many cars they were working on including race porsches, restored cars like an '80's trans am, various porches, audis and BMWs, and even a honda minivan. As a european car lover, it was incredible, but its apparent they work on everything. Pros: knowledgeable of complex cars, best mechanics out there
