Review content:
Seriously, I don't know what's with the first two reviewers, but they're obviously butt hurt about something personal between them and somebody they've somehow associated with Lumpy's, because there isn't an unwelcoming soul in that place and the scent is of faint cigarette-smoke (it is a bar after all) and food a-cookin'. Day, afternoon & night you'll find the liveliest and most inviting bunch there can be. The tenders have a great personality that meshes so well with both the regular patronage and fresh-comers alike, it creates an atmosphere that's best described as comfort. What I personally enjoy about the place is that on any given day and/or night, you're chances of seeing the owners themselves are more than high, and for me that just creates an intimate and family like aura that you can't find in any big-city pub. Not only do they make an appearance, but they often sit down with folks and shoot the breeze, like you would a friend. Still yet, to top all of this off, the food is simply outstanding; the burgers are to die for and the soups are home-brewed and so utterly delicious (noteworthy are the split pea and seafood chowder), you won't find a single reason to ask for salt or pepper. Finally I'll say this, Saturday nights are always rockin' with some talented local live band and the bathrooms are never without hand-towels. Now I will admit that I am quite biased, though I'd assume most who enjoy something or someplace as much as I so obviously do Lumpy's would be. I live in Newberg, and of the 6 or 7 places I can go to here, I almost always make the decision to drive out to Dundee instead and go to Lumpy's Landing.
Pros: Ambiance, Service, Folk & Food!!!
Cons: They close at 2:30am
