Review content:
I was the one who posted about the strange buttery-ness of the Cookie Jar's buttercream icing. I'm taking back my harsh and butter-obsessed review because lately, the cupcakes here have been absolutely delicious. I'm still avoiding the buttercream icing, but there are so many other things at this bakery to be happy about that I don't even miss it. The tres leches cupcake is totally unique and decadent, the red velvet is now always perfect (never dry as it used to be) the chocolate nutella is out of this world and the strawberry shortcake is light and fluffy. Kudos to whoever made the much-needed changes. If in the past you thought the cupcakes were dry and the icing heavy, maybe give it another shot.
Pros: selection and flavor
Cons: not much ambiance, but it doesn't take that long to eat a cupcake.
