Review content:
I was dying to eat Indian food for quite some time until I came upon this place. I walked in the door around 2:30 P.M. hoping there might be a buffet. Nope, that's just on weekends. It was such a nice day to eat outside so I asked for my order to-go. I was told I would order off the dinner menu? I thought to myself it was still a little early for a dinner menu. After I looked at the menu I knew I couldn't get out the door without coughing up 15 bucks. I ordered lamb curry. ($14) I told the Indian guy up front that I didn't want it sweet and however he would eat it, that's the way I wanted it. While I was waiting for the food which took only 5 minutes to cook, surprisingly, I said to the guy up front; ""Is it true that Indian restaurants put sugar in the curries if you're American because they think Americans like sugar?"" ""Yes, it is true,"" he said. I said, ""I hate when they do that. it's nasty!"" So, I get my food which comes in two small (whipped butter type) containers instead of your standard styrofoam box. Sure enough it was sweet as can be. It tasted like they used tomato sauce out of a can as the base instead of real tomatoes. I only got one tiny poppadom and the jalapeno/mint sauce was very weak in flavor. The thing that irritated me the most was seeing the lunch menu while I was waiting and realizing I just paid double, and it wasn't even dinner time! Pros: Nice Atmosphere Cons: Non-authentic (sugary) Food
