After reading multiple 5 star reviews on this company my 67 year old mother chose them to move her from Van Nuys to Simi Valley. (20 miles) She was schedule to have them arrive between 9 and 10am on 2/25/11. At 10:45am she calls them and asks where are the movers? This goes back and forth for HOURS. (My mother having to initiate every call, as they do not reach out to the client AT ALL!) All the while the sky opens up and it begins to pour rain (which it was not doing at 9 am) They finally arrive after 1pm and finish up at her new home after 12 midnight. Everything was sopping wet, she even had to pay extra for her mattress to be plastic wrapped which would not have been nessessary if they had arrived on time. NO ONE from the office even offers my mom a discount or an apology, NOTHING! In fact they will not even return a phone call. I now believe that the reviews on google for this movers must be false. Friends and family probably wrote them, because no company this mis managed could possibly have a 5 start rating. I must say that the 2 guys who moved my mother were super nice. They even admitted that they were not scheduled until noon to pick up my mothers things. That is 3 hours later than the office confirmed with my mother. So the problem is the office staff and the manager, whom I still hope will call my mother back as she has been waiting for 2 weeks now.
And FYI - they also offer a special on their webpage for a "" 5% Discount for Senior Citizens (65 or older)"" Even though it does not say this they claim that is only for Long Distance moves. Another way to screw your clients!
