Saturday is laundry day in our house, so i started my day doing just that. During the first load is when the flood came. Our floor drain is located in the laundry room approximately two feet from our newly finished basement. Not only was the water saturating the laundry room but it was fastly approaching the carpet. The drain was so clogged that every bit of water in the washing machine ended up on the floor! My husband is very handy and always figures out how to fix problems around the house. However, try as he may he couldn't get the clog out. Apparently, today was the day that I had too much faith in my husband. I tried another plumber company first and they said that they had people working today and they would try to get us in ( this call was place approximately 10 am). At 11:45 am they returned my call - to my cell phone - when we were still cleaning up water in the basement. I called them back at 12:15 and was told that everyone already left b/c they called me over an hour ago. This was factually not the case and I proceded to tell the man on the line this - his response was ""well whatever"" - verbatum! After I let the fumes and smoke clear from my head, I called Roto Rooter. The representative was extremely friendly and let us know that someone could definitely be to our house today and within two hours!! This is exactly what I needed to hear after the morning that I had. Now, it wasn't exactly within two hours but the during the entire wait a dispatcher kept me in the loop on how late the technician was running. This was great. I hate feeling left in the dark when waiting for a service technician - ""Is he coming?"" or ""did they forget about me?"" always cross your mind. I then received a call from the dispatcher a half an hour prior to our technician showing up just to let us know that he was on his way. Ed, our technician, was very informative and made great recommendations without pressuring us to purchase extra services or products. Ed did a fantastic job on the floor drain and had it cleared within 10 minutes. He worked fast and was very careful to keep my carpets and floors from getting any worse than they were. Thanks to Roto Rooter I am back to getting on with my weekend! Excellent service and efficiency.
