Found this business online after a Google search. Coupon states boldly ""$34.75"". In small type it says *State certificate & Five dollar Electronic Transfer fee extra. * Test only vehicle & all trucks and vans substantially extra.
I drove 6-7 miles across the valley to come here.
He charged me $58 - said he charges more because he's a test only station. ?? Test Only is in the name of your business! When I told him I could get a smog test for $60 anywhere in the valley and just around the corner from my home, that I didn't need to drive all the way over here to pay that much, and that the $34.75 advertised in bold type is misleading. He got agitated and defensive and said his coupon offering ""couldn't be any clearer"".
I searched online, then downloaded and printed his silly worthless coupon, thinking I'd get a good deal. I left feeling ripped off and scammed. It is clear the owner intends to DECEIVE CUSTOMERS with a low advertised price, then JACK UP the actual charge with hidden costs. STAY AWAY FROM ALL AMERICAN SMOG TEST. Don't reward this low-life with your HARD-EARNED DOLLARS.
Owner: You may have gotten the extra $20-$25 out of hundreds of customers with your shady, under-handed advertising, but facing the ugly karma you've created all by yourself is a bitch.
