When you walk into Avenue One and look at the menu you get the feeling that you are about to have a great dinner, but by the time the appetizer arrives you begin to realize that might not be the case. We recently went to Avenue One before going to the theater; although the staff was friendly the food was below average. The Calamari was overdone and the "Crushed Tomato Sauce" it was served with might as well have been ragu. my wife ordered the Tart which came out cold and by the time our dinner arrived we were wondering if we would have time to eat it before the show. However, we didn't need to worry because after a few bites we didn't want any more. The chicken was dry and flavorless and although the sauce for the braised lamb was tasty the lamb itself was overcooked. Pros: Good Location, Friendly Cons: Poor Food, Slow Service
