Review content:
I visited Lynns Day Spa at their New location after the fire. Upon entrance you come up to a reception area w/a very small wooden desk. The reception area looks very CHEAP. Most reception area has a nice counter and all the clutter is suppose to non- visible to the clients. The waiting area is large and spacious. Although the refreshments could be a little better. The cookies are not gourmet but looks like they were purchased from the dollar store. It is not covered so that germs can fall on it. Also, its very dark. How can anybody read any of the magazines in the room with no light? Tranquil or are they trying to hide dirt? The massage rooms and facial rooms are okay. Can't say much for the decorations. All the decor and furniture (except for the waiting area and manicure room) looks antiquish, old and dirty. Maybe it was salvaged equipment and furnishing from the fire? The nail room furnishing looks new and moderm. As I was getting my pedicure, I noticed that the carpet had numerous water spots. Maybe a flood or plumbing problem? I hear this loud drain pumping behind my chair that distracts my relaxation. It makes me think if there is mold growing underneath the water stained carpet? My mani/pedi was great. The polish last for over a week on my hands and 4 weeks on my toes. That's impressive! On my visit, the client next to me was upset due to some scheduling problem with her package. The owner came in to rectify the problem (I recognize her from Baltimore magazine) -- but she was very rude. I sat thru my mani listening in to the confrontation. NOT RELAXING!. Then I had lunch. There was no lunch/ dining area. I ate my lunch in the waiting area with several people staring at me. I felt very uncomfortable. Plus, lunch is $30 for a sandwich and drink that they probably order from a local restarant for $10. Its was a rip off. I was walking around in my robe. The bathroom was outside the spa. I had to walk outside in a robe. If u need a quicky spa, this is it - relaxing NO!
