Let me start by saying yes, my credit is awful. When they called me I had actually given up searching for a car and was working on improving my score. A few weeks later I got a call. Nicole said she was with Clear Lake Auto Finance and they had ran my credit. Miracle upon miracles! I had been approved for a loan through them! I asked some questions and we set up a time for me to go to the location. It was then that she said it was the Mazda dealership. I knew this whole deal sounded way too good to be true but when you are in need, you are often a fool. I called her back a few days later and asked her if this was set on conditions or if I had already been approved based on them running my credit and were for sure giving me a loan. I explained that it was very far for me to drive for something that was not guaranteed and that there would be no point to waste anyones time. Assured by Nicole that everything was a go, I just needed to sign some paperwork, and give her copies of my DL and Insurance, etc. I decided to keep my appt. She called me and confirmed the afternoon of the appointment. The dealership was in an area that I have never driven to before and was running a little behind from missing my exit, so I called her to explain. (NO, I do not have gps, thank you..but I should :P ) No answer..left a message. I never noticed while I was corresponding with her before, but she never answers her phone directly. You can say she is just super busy but I believe now, looking back on it, that she screens her calls so that she doesn't have to listen to every pissed off person that she deals with. Why? Because her job is to get you in the door. You will never even see Nicole, or speak to her again after you confirm your appointment. A man greeted me and explained that he would be seeing me instead, and treated me like I was an idiot for even expecting this woman to be there. "Well *eyes rolling*...She works for the finance company that is giving you the loan..You know? Why would you see her?" I should have walked away then. To turn my novel into the condensed version: After they let me drive 35 miles each way, wait for hours they told me that I needed a cosigner. I told them that they had wasted my time long enough and walked out. When I was getting back into my own car, I saw the salesman talking and giggling with a pretty blonde girl that had come down from the offices upstairs while I was leaving. I wonder if that was Nicole? I would not have even given them 1 star. I wish I could take some of their stars away!
