I live close by Jaes in the South End and have often wondered why I do not go more often. First, I enjoy the downstairs part of the restaurant. Its quieter and never crowded(not that I am unfriendly).
The Hot and sour soup is excellent, because quite frankly it is both. The seaweed salad was good, and I felt good about myself for eating it, which allowed to eat dessert afterwards.
I had sushi afterwards. Sushi is a radical departure for me, but it has grown on me lately. Most sushi places are just that, but Jaes as an array of Asian inspired cuisine, so people like I used to be can also eat well
