Didn't update my first review . . . things changed a bit last year. The first time Ringo came it was wonderful, reasonable, and we looked forward to using him again.
We used him another time and, though he didn't come when scheduled, he did come the following week and did an ok job. We then signed up with him for monthly service . . . he never showed up again. After a three months of not showing up, we called him and he said that, since he had no one else in our neighborhood, it wasn't worth it to do our house.
I was a little upset, since he agreed to do a job and never called to say he couldn't do it. He decided to come by for one more cleanup, since we needed it done, and charged us the equivalent of 3 months, since it was a bigger job. They did a basic weed-wack/rake thing, didn't really clean it all up, and left. If they had done that quality of work the first time, we would not have used him again.
The thing is, he does great work and I don't like un-recommending someone who I really like. (As I mentioned in my initial rave review, Ringo was one of the reasons I joined Judy's; I wanted to recommend him.)
If he comes, and wants to be there, he's reasonably priced and does great work. If you need something done with a timeline, though, I'm not sure you can trust that it'll be done to your satisfaction and, if he really doesn't want to be there, then you really don't want to be using him anyway.
And now we're back to looking for a reasonably priced monthly service to do some basic mowing and raking.
