As a hairstylist of 10 years, I have had a difficult time finding a good stylist since I've moved states. I found a groupon and thought I'd give Tyler Day Salon a try... My stylist's name was Robin. I"m not sure if it's because I had a groupon or what, but she was so rude and obviously didn't like her job. I was not greeted with a hello, an introduction or even a smile. All she said was "come back". There was no consultation of what I wanted or the condition of my hair. I have long and thick hair and expected to pay more for my service because of the time...but a partial foil and haircut/style only took her one hour and twenty minutes. Not nearly enough time for a thourough/good job. It was rushed and you can't even tell I had highlights done. I tried telling her what type of highlights I wanted (this was after she mixed the color, since she rushed off to do that), and she didn't really care or ask what shade/size/style of highlights. I figure she does the same thing to everyone... Then afterwards she told me I should have told her I had previously colored my hair and it was damaged. Actually, that is a stylists' job to consult with the client! A client should never be blamed for the stylists incompetence. \r \r The stylist next to me was very unprofessional as well, leading me to believe this salon is just not a decent place. It's price point is not low either ($110 for partial and haircut), so you'd expect to get a good service. \r \r I was very disappointed with my service, especially since I am a professional and know what should/should not be done. Although I did not pay a huge amount with my groupon ($50 including tip), for me this is a lot of money to waste. Don't waste your money here! more
