What hospital doesn't issue pain meds after surgery? We had to BEG the nurse for pain meds after a double knee replacement surgery. It took 3 1/2hrs to receive them. Repeated allergies & other health conditions to nurse numerous times. Where was the patient chart? Nurse aides were more helpful & aware of needs. Dr. Seemed to not care when we asked for contact all day. Nurse practioner fortunately was there to help in the end. Reg nurse was out to lunch.
