I hired Merry Maids to clean my home prior to moving in. I think they just took a rag and run it lightly across a few obvious dirty areas of the house. It did not appear they used cleaner, nor any "elbow grease". The painter told me he had to dust and clean prior to applying paint (same places Merry Maids were hired to clean). I couldn't move into the house until I re-cleaned everything. When I cleaned the house, my rag turned black everywhere I cleaned (the same places Merry Maids supposedly cleaned). The bathrooms still had scum and water deposits everywhere. I really couldn't tell they had cleaned them, and I wasn't about to take a shower in the condition they were left by Merry Maids. This home should have been easy to clean because it was empty. Needless to say... hire your 90 year old grandmother! Merry Maids turned out to be the worst cleaning service I have ever hired. Everything they quoted to clean, remained dirty after they left.
