I can't say enough about Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital. From the caring receptionists to the talented and kind techs and vets, Murrayhill is the very best! I've taken my 14-year old toy poodle to other vets in the area over the years but have never had the outstanding service and personal, quality care that I've experienced here. And the facility is always immaculate. I recommend them very highly.\r more

I would travel out of my way to take my animals to MurrayHill Vet because they have gained my hard earned trust.\r more

The best part? Whether we go in for a check-up, vaccine, or a major surgery, one of the doctors or nurses ALWAYS calls the next day to check on things and to see if I have any questions. Such a simple gesture has been so helpful and reassuring.\r more

There have been many times that I haven't been able to schedule an appointment and have to bring one of my dogs in to wait to see someone after I get off work - this has never taken more than maybe 5-10 minute wait at the end of the day.\r more

I see Dr. Zambelli most often and LOVE her. She is so patient and understanding with my dogs, and I never feel like she's trying to sell me something they don't need.\r more

I was not going to write a bad review I was just going to get my records and move on to the clinic that I have found that I have liked better. However after my experience I feel I have to say something. When I went in to get my records the front staff ignored me while they were having a personal conversation. Th worst part is the conversation was regarding the owner and I believe his wife. They were saying very loudly that he was in a bad mood again and one of the staff even mentioned she had applied somewhere else. After this I knew I had made the right decision leaving. Your staff knows what goes on behind closed doors and if they are unhappy that says a lot for how the place is run. Finally they acknowledged me and said they could fax the records to the new clinic but they could not give me a copy. I found out later that I have a right to request a copy at anytime and they have to give them to me. I really hope the management takes the time to discuss with the staff appropriate conversations to have in front of clients. While I was waiting there were 2 other people in the waiting room whom I sure heard the same conversation. Other then the fact that the services were higher then any of the other clinics I found which I don't mind paying if I think it is worth it (which I didn't) I didn't have many other complaints with Murray hill. I did find the exam rooms to not be very clean and the staff could definitely work on their people skills but the doctors seemed knowledgeable. I will not be going back as I have found another clinic where the employees seem to really love their job and it shows. more

Special hugs to Dr. Zambelli for helping my little dog yesterday. While the end result remains to be seen, I know she has received the best possible care. God bless the doctors who love our pets as much as we do!\r more

I am REALLY concerned about this veterinary practice. I have looked through several different websites about Murrayhill Veterinary hospital and it seems like if you dig a little deeper people are having the exact same problems as we are having: Our dog is a kind and loving creature and never bites but every time we come in he bites the vet. (other people say the same thing: their animal will not accept food from them and are very very nervous which is unusual for them.) They consistently seem to be upselling and not caring much for the pet in question. We were told our dog could have a possible cancerous tumor (as have other people) and they would like to do a VERY EXPENSIVE exploratory surgery on our 14-year-old senior dog that he may not even make it through. I see other people are told this and then find nothing is wrong or go to a doctor and find out that the condition is not cancer and easily treatable. We are wondering if this is the same for our dog. Our dog has hip displasia and they refuse to give us medication for it but looking at all the ""hidden reviews"" I am beginning to wonder if he could be given a simple medication to relieve most of the pain. I thought we might have to put him down just because of the malpractice happening in this clinic. I will certainly be going to see another clinic instead. I will never set foot in this place again. more

When you're new to an area it's always difficult to trust someone new with your pet, especially if you don't have family or friend’s reviews to go on. I took my cat into Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital for an emergency visit a few months back based solely on internet reviews. They were booked solid, but they said they always make time for emergencies. I'm so glad they do! \r \r My cat all of a sudden started acting lethargic and was having difficulty breathing. They checked her in and admitted her right away. Little did I know that she was dangerously ill. Her heart was extremely enlarged and she had fluid in her lungs. Dr. Zawadzki and I discussed her thoughts and concerns and decided on a plan of action for Sam. Later that day she called me with the test results. Sam was very sick, but they were able to get her stable, explain everything to me clearly, and walk me step by step toward getting her better. In Sam's case, they referred me to local cardiologist who confirmed Dr. Zawadzki's prognosis. During my cat’s lengthy recovery, the whole staff at Murrayhill Vet have been so helpful. They work seamlessly with the cardiologist, answer any questions I have, and Dr. Zawadzki has spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with me. Even just calling to check up on Sam! \r \r I know that my cat is in good hands there, and I truly believe that they care deeply for the animals they treat. Their facility is very nice, clean, and a relaxed environment for pets. They even gave me a significant price break on my cat's initial emergency visit, even though they didn't have to. I never had a bad experience at my old vet, but I really think that Murryhill is setting a new standard. I couldn't be happier! After all, what more can you ask from a veterinarian than to treat your pet like they would treat their own? Thank you again Dr. Zawadzki and staff. You ALL are amazing!\r more

We recently moved to the area and needed a vet to care for our dog. She had been previously diagnosed with hip issues with the results being very obvious even to the untrained eye. We used this review page to make our decision.\r The decision turned out poorly. Our pet was in the final stages when we brought her to Murrayhill hoping for a refill on her medication. The treatment plan was far in excess of a normal workup, included multiple tests and x-rays, to the tune of $900+. Every time we visited the vet for more meds the same scenario, more potential tests to define the obvious. If you consider your pet as a profit center as opposed to a family member this will work out fine. \r Sadly the “final trip” came to pass. We had planned for this for some time. We were prepared as best as we could be. Simple wishes were expressed to the staff. Every detail was ignored. A very bad day was pushed to the worst.\r Ultimately your pet will probably receive proper medical care. Be cautious of decisions based on greed vs. compassionate care. Beware of the clinics insensitivity. Keep reading and look elsewhere.\r more

We have had a wonderful experience over the last year of seeing Dr. Zambelli. We took our rescue ""shardobie"", (Shar Pei /Doberman mix) Chloe to see her right after we adopted her to have her checked out. Dr. Zambelli was great, gave us clear instructions, and advice. We were given a tour of their entire, impeccably clean, facility on our first visit. The staff is extremely friendly. I highly recommend their office to anyone wanting quality pet care. I know our dog is in good hands. more

Wouldn't go anywhere else! 8/15/2011

My dogs, cat and I started with Murrayhill 17 years ago! Yikes! Dr Goodman is the absolute best!! However, a bee issue with my Boxer a few years ago introduced me to almost ALL of the veterinarians there, and I have nothing but the highest regard for them. Even though I have moved farther away, I still take the time and drive the distance to go to Murrayhill. I feel absolutely confident in their care of my pets, and I LOVE the receptionist, Helen. She is a kick!!! If you have a choice-go to Murrayhill! more
