Great Service, Great Food! 7/1/2008

My husband and I had the pleasure of some of the best service and best food in town recently at Yosemite Ranch Steak Seafood and Roast House. The hospitality of their staff is top notch. Everyone from the hostess', bartenders, servers and managers were nothing but hospitable, friendly, and full of smiles. We visited this establishment recently on a Sunday evening. It was a rather busy evening so we were placed on a short wait which allowed us to sit at the bar and enjoy a cocktail before dinner. The bartender, Tiffany, recomended I try one of Yosemite Ranch's house cocktails, so taking the recommendation of the Yosemite Sunset, which was an extremely refreshing drink with absolute and pomogranate juice, I enjoyed every minute of it. We were soon seated at a corner booth in the back room which was just cozy for two people to enjoy a date night. We started of with the suggested appetizer of the Seared Ahi which came with three amazing dipping sauces, with our drinks kept full by our friendly and prompt server, Nick, we ordered our meal. In a timely manner we received a fabulous Baby Green Bistro salad and the Chicken-Pot-Pie soup with some hot dinner rolls. I ordered the Grilled Salmon over an Apple Bleu Salad which had a sweet dressing with apples and dry bleu cheese. The combination of flavors was out of this world. My husband ordered Ribs and Ranch Steak combo. The steak was cooked medium, it was tender and full of flavor with a kick of black pepper. The ribs had a great bbq sauce with meat that fell right off the bone. For dessert we shared the Creme Brule Cheesecake and did not leave a crumb on the plate. Everything was moderately priced and worth every bite. As we left the restaurant very full and very happy we spoke with a lovely blonde manager and the hostess' to let them know of our wonderful experiance. They thanked us for dining at their establishment and my husband and I assured we would be back soon. A definite ""yes"" to Yosemite Ranch! Pros: Service, Food and Ambience Cons: We would like Blue Moon instead of Wydmer Hef! more

Avoid this place! 6/2/2008

My family has recently had the DISPLEASURE of eating at this establishment. We went on Saturday May 31, 2008. The evening started out just as most, we were seated to our booth soon upon our arrival. We were seated, then after 15 minutes of waiting bread was brought to the table along with drinks. We started to consume the bread, but then found ourselves entirely grossed out. There was a long brown HAIR in two of the rolls! We tried to spend the rest of the time trying to forget that disgusting and unacceptable occurrence. Next three salads and a soup came. We began to eat and were appalled to find a PLASTIC TABASCO SAUCE WRAPPER in the soup. Our waitress later told us that her manager had told her that the night before that a customer had found a TABASCO SAUCE CAP in the soup. Then our dinners came out, they were all of average, though we couldn't even finish them, due to our prior repulsive experience.\r \r By this point we were entirely disgusted and grossed out. We informed our waitress what had happened, she was entirely disgusted as well. She asked us if we would like to speak to her manager. So the multi-hair colored manager comes out and apologizes for our experience and said she would comp the dinner. Then our waitress comes back with our check, everything was on it except for the $ 4 soup. We asked to see the manager again. The manager came and told us that we were wrong and didn't listen to what she had said, she claimed that she had told us that she would ""discount our dinner"". We told her our evening was extremely unpleasant ! She argued that we had eaten part of our diners and that we were out of line and were being completely unreasonable. We argued that our evening was horrible and found it offensive that she was only willing to ""discount"" $ 4. She then responded ""fine"" and marched back to the front desk. Our waitress came back and gave us our new check, we were only charged for 1 glass of wine we had ordered. \r \r \r more

Horrible food, but excellent service. 12/3/2007

The atmophere was great, the service was fantastic. The food was the worst I've ever paid for. The lobster was over cooked. The steaks were bland, no flavor. Tasted like cardboard. The manager (Lisa) was non caring. She dismissed us and our comments. Would NOT recommend to anyone. Pros: Ambience, service Cons: Food, Parking more
