Grand Bay Hotel is no more 9/19/2010

I was in Coconut Grove to watch the filming of USA television hit, Burn Notice. A significant portion of the season 4 finale was filmed at the Wyndham Grand Bay. Apparently it was in the middle of a re-model when the market crashed. The former grandeur is apparent but the place has been 90% gutted with no further work being done. It made a great setting for Michael Weston, Fiona Glennane and the rest of the cast of Burn Notice. Hopefully someone will take up the task of re-viving this once beautiful resort hotel. Until then, don't plan on staying here unless you are homeless and have a sleeping bag. more

A perfect setting for a perfect wedding 7/8/2005

When I received the invitation to attend my niece's wedding to be held at this hotel I was excited for her and for myself as well since it would be the opportunity to spend a night at this fantastic hotel. And fantastic it was! Our room was beautiful with a glorious view of the bay just outside our balcony.The service was impeccible, the bed so comfortable and the amenities plentiful The wedding went off without a hitch..And so far the bride and groom have lived happily ever after.. PROS: Beautiful rooms with incredible views CONS: A bit pricy more
