Our reservation (a must) was for our 6th Wedding Anniversary. The business sign wasn't big, we rang the bell and she immediately welcomed us. Walking up the stairs (to our room) reminded me of grandpa's steep ones that made me scared as a little girl. She gave us our key, explained about our private entrance, breakfast (7-9 am) and check out time 11am. We love old homes, the antique furniture (meaning lady's dressing table), cast iron pedestal sinks and cotton lace bedskirt. My head sank into the soft pillows. I enjoyed the wild flowers as my husband smoked- sitting on the benches. The dog likes scratches and the cat leaves you alone. You can hear running water from other rooms but not voices. The other partner paints, displaying throughout the home and are for sale. The two women retired 15 years ago and purchased Bed & Breakfast to keep busy. As explained, I helped myself to more towels. Make sure a room with a claw tub is available for that romantic bubble bath. For breakfast she served: coffee, orange juice, quiche and fresh fruit.
