prices are a bit high 4/17/2006

I think the location on 72nd & Dodge actually carries a few more things than the one out in Village Pointe. Nonetheless, both locations carry items that are not available at other health food stores. I especially like the body care selection. Their staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. When I had a horrible reaction to splenda, the staff at Wild Oats literally worked with me (by giving me samples of several products) to help me clear up my skin. I was so grateful for their concern! The store has a decent enough selection of produts, but prices do tend to run a bit high. more

Natural Marketplace 4/16/2006

I love shopping at the Wild Oats Natural Marketplace. Their bulk food selection is one of the finest in any natural food store that I have seen. I love browsing through the aisles looking for something new and delicious to try. THey have great recipe cards placed throughout the store. Their produce section is well stocked and always fresh and appetizing looking. Their meats, poultry and seafood are well presented. The prices are a little higher than a regular grocery store but organic and health foods always are and this store's prices are not out of line for the product. more

Good for Organic Foods 4/9/2006

I really like Wild Oats Market -- they are an excellent, socially-conscious company that offers a good variety of organic and specialty foods. I particularly shop their bulk foods section and occasionally their meats and bakery. They are a bit pricey, which is to be expected when buying some natural foods. I don't make this my regular grocery store, but I like to visit a couple times a month to stock up on things like granola and some frozen items I can't find elsewhere. The produce here is good, although limited. Specialty items can be difficult to find and more often than not, I'm unable to find at least one item on my grocery list and am forced to visit another store. This is probably the greatest weakness of Wild Oats. They do offer a lot of coupons/deals, although you need to remember to bring back your register receipts within a month or so to take advantage of some of their discounts. more

Another Health Food Store 4/6/2006

Its a good health food store, in which it carries all organic foods. They have a nice and complete selection of produce and even healthcare supplies which have not been tested on animals. This is also a good place to find unusual herbs and spices for unique and foreign dishes. However, the prices are higher than a typical grocery store and I personally don't find in worth it to pay 10 cents more per pound for fruit that is "organic". Also, it doesn't have the selection that whole foods carries. So its fairly mediocre place to buy groceries and produce. more

great whole heath market 3/20/2006

i am a big fan of wild oats market if you are looking for a whole heath market...obviously their prices are going to be a little higher then conventinol groceries stores, but they carry great, healthy, natural products that other stores don't have available...the staff is great there and very knowledgeable - they can help you find anything you need...another reason why i like this specific chain in omaha is that if you are a UNO student - you can receive 10% off your bill by flashing your student id card -- what a great way to promote healthy eating in college students! more
