Village Oak Veterinary Hospital

The Village Oak Vet in Modesto is just pathetic in my eyes. I already took my puppy in on Saturday and was told he has a severe ear infection. The vet Dr. Wen Nygen said to just come back in three days and no medication at this time!!! What the heck is wrong with him? I had ear drops from a previous ear problem and used them for three days. Anyways I show up exactly at the appointment time three days later at which i was told to show up at 7:00 a.m., come to find out no one even gets there until around 7:15 a.m. I wasted my time from 7:00 a.m. until almost 9:00 a.m. In the meantime, all I was told is he is not getting any of the treatmeant that was schedualed because he had vomited the night before the appointment due to drinking to much water. He has done that a couple times. He has an obsession for water. I tried telling them that. The didn't seem to believe me. So they COULD have just gave me the medication for his ears the first time I came in but didn't. They wanted to wait and make my puppy suffer for three days so they could do a flush treatment that never happened. NEVER GOING BACK. They made me entirely feel like a joke by laughing at me when I did come in at 7:00 a.m. and then doing no treatment there. more

I have been a client for maybe as long as 8 years, a long time, my Sophie pup is 11 years old and has had numerous issues over the years. All of which were treated with the best sense of professionalism and care as if she were one of their own pets. It feels like home walking in, from phone calls, to visits, to surgery, convenient hours, to those much loved follow up calls......5-star care from this facility. Dr.Fitzpatrick is our primary doc, but would trust anyone there with my baby girl. You get what you pay for and the people there are rare and caring folks. Love this facility! It's the best in the community. more

We love Village Oak!!! We have been taking our Sophie there for about 7 years I think! Everyone so nice and they actually care! Very clean and professional! We love Doctor Fitzpatrick!!!! Our dog has had a few surgeries here and they were absolutley wonderful through everything!!! A little pricey but it pays in the long run of getting the run around from other vets!!! more

With prices a little higher than comfortable, village oak falls short of five stars. That said, you get what you pay for, and I'm willing to pay a premium for doctors I trust. Never have I had an unprofessional visit, or even a dismissive glance from the front desk. Techs, receptionists and doctors alike have always exhibited a high standard of care and concern, complete with follow up calls, and a few extra minutes if you need them. Dr. Fitzpatrick was a true pleasure to deal with and Erin was a very wise and informed Technician. Stacey is the greatest on the phone and very happy person to deal with. Dr. Fitzpatrick talked to us in a way that pet owners, not Physicians, could understand without talking "down" to us. Instructions from everyone were very clear and easy to grasp. I called at 7:30am when the Hospital opens and was given an appointment at 8:40am! I had a very sick dog and was beside myself. We were new clients to Village Oak and to get me in that quickly was amazing. I hate to say this but my husband is very critical and does not take to many people but he was very impressed with Dr. Fitzpatrick and the staff, and said that this will be our Veterinarian from now on. I worked for a competitor, and was very glad I went to Village Oak instead. BEAUTIFUL Facility and the cleanest Vet Hospital I have ever seen. Thank you for taking care of our children. more
