Before I met Veronica, I hated my hair. My curls just hung limp like overcooked spaghetti. I was recommended to Vero by a long-time client of hers and a long-time friend of mine. I had literally not worn my hair loose since the 2nd grade (I'm pushing 26 now) until two years ago when I walked into MacDaddy (Vero's previous digs) I LOVE MY CURLS!! Vero cut my hair so that every curl falls into place perfectly-I hardly ever wear my hair up anymore...I feel like a new woman! I get compliments on my hair all the time. I love that she actually listens to what you want and knows when a haircut might not work for you (thankfully, she talked me out of babydoll bangs). I happened upon Veronica Garza when I was looking for a new stylist after recently moving to Chicago's west loop. I was lucky to find her. Now that she has her own salon, I am overjoyed!! My hair is dry, thick beyond control, and too much to manage. Suffice it to say I need and require a talented stylist. She is an expert colorist, her work is consistent and she knows what style will look good on you and what will not do, because let's face it girls, we all want to look like the cover model on Instyle mag at one point or another. Veronica makes you feel better than the cover model when you leave her salon. She's very talented and a great person. I am happy she has her own salon now! My husband and I travel a great deal within the USA and abroad and always get raves about our cuts. My hair is thick and wavy, but Veronica makes styling easy for my expertly layered bob cut, all I need to do is wash and run my fingers through and I am ready to go, something that fits my demanding and busy lifestyle so perfectly! We have such high regard and respect for Veronica, she is kind, attentive and a top professional in her field. For years I knew I could never get the perfect cut unless it was at the hands of Veronica, a trained stylist/colorist at Vidal Sasson. When Veronica left Vidal's to start her own salon (at the time MacDaddy's) I followed and now she has opened her newest salon (Salon Vero-Vero). Veronica has an ear for listening to what her customers want and a meticulous, well trained ability to give her customers a fabulous cut, color and style. She works her magic on my fine, wimpy hair. I get to keep my hair long and it looks great because of her skill. She takes time for a consultation even with me-a long time customer just to make sure I am happy 'living' with the last hair cut , color and style. I'm starting to go a little gray so I get color, but also occassional highlights. I swear, nobody can tell this isn't my natural color. She's like a true artist in her ability to assess what will look good for one's hair texture, facial features and life style. Parking is easy, there is always space available . Parking at the new salon was no trouble; I parked on the street, right in front. I got a hair cut only this time -- long bangs and long layers. I get amazing lashes done at Salon Vero Vero. Ellen Afshar is a professional and perfectionist. She is a lash stylist who really does an incredible job hence I come back to her every 3 weeks. I mean why not, Ellen really puts in her time and care. I love my lashes; I don't even have to wear eye make-up anymore. If I do where eye make-up, my eyes are so much more enhanced and really do pop! In addition, Salon Vero Vero has a welcoming ambiance with very polite and cheerful stylists to assist you. It is also in an easily accessible location with simple to find street parking. Pros: Enhancement you won't regret! Cons: Pricey, but well worth it! more

Salon Vero Vero is great!!! Veronica, who formerly ran MacDaddy on Lake, has been cutting and coloring my hair for 11 years! I couldn't be happier with her work!! Ellen Afshar did a full set of eyelashes for me, and I never got so many compliments in my life! I woke up beautiful ... I went to bed beautiful. It took a little time to get all those little eyelashes on individually, but she did a great job. Ellen was very professional, she made sure they looked great, took the time to match them to my hair tones, and they lasted and looked great for 21/2 weeks! (They probably would have lasted longer, but I was pretty hard on them.) If you've never done it before, and you need a little beauty perk-me-up, it's really worth it! Pros: You'll look fantastic Cons: It's a little pricey, but you'll look great! more

Veronica is amazing....my hair had always been straight until she cut it, and magically, I had wavy hair!! I've never had so many compliments as I've had since she started cutting my hair a few years ago. She has a fantastic sense of humor, and it's a great time coming in to see her.
