Our elderly dog, Cole, was given excellent care during his declining years by the staff at Terrell Mill. Dr. Robinson always spent time with us talking about options to keep him comfortable and functioning. When we had to put him to sleep at age 14, it was handled with the utmost sensitivity and respect. We truly felt our precious friend was given the very best care possible by his ""family"" at Terrell Mill. more

This place actually had a vet come to my home while I was at work and had a vet actually take my dog from my 14-year-old daughter because of a bill dispute. For real. For real. For real. The female vet entered my home while I was at work and took the dog from my 14-year-old daughter and I filed a police report but the ""vet's"" husband called me and the dog was returned before I got home. Yes, the female vet went inside my home with only a minor child there and actually took my dog. Yep. Yep. The police officer that came out said he wouldn't press criminal charges because the ""vet"" returned my dog, but he wouldn't take his dog there. Go figure. more

WORST VET 11/30/2010

Not only does the doctors mis diagonised pets they are very expensive and rude! Just like Town And Country and in general like Dr.NO GOODE,the receptionists are very rude and techs dont even know anything! and they help with SURGERIES...WTF!!! more

Caring professionals 4/30/2010

I can't say enough about the people at Terrell Mill. From the front desk staff to the techs to the doctors, they are incomparable. They cared for my miniature pinscher Scout for many years, through a variety of illnesses. Each time they thoughtfully provided me with information and options. I know they truly cared for her! They extended extra effort to ensure she received the best possible care throughout her life. We spent a lot of time with these people - you won't find anyone better. Now, they are just as engaged with our rescue puppy and we look forward to many years of her care with them as well. Pros: compassionate staff more

Best Animal Hospital in town!!!! 3/27/2008

In 2003 I acquired a 1.5lb baby Pomeranian. Dr Izen, took the time, patience, and understanding with me because I was constantly taking LoJack into TMAH to see Dr Izen, simply because I didn't have a clue on how to properly feed, groom or take care of a Pomeranian. Dr Izen literally had to train & coach me when it came to the proper custody & care for such a delicate animal. You see I was one who always had big dogs, what I called junkyard dogs that you could feed them anything. I wasn't aware that the Toy Breed was a breed in itself, and Dr Izen, patiently, took my ""emergency visits"" because I foolishly was feeding LoJack from the table. The new purebred, toy breed is nothing like the Heinz 57 I grew up with. Trust me, I had to learn the hard way and it could have cost me thousands and thousands of dollars for something that was simple ""STOP FEEDING HIM FROM THE TABLE"" or ""STOP CHANGING HIS FOOD"" anytime he would turn his nose up. Because of my ignorance, I did go through several different types of food before I realized that this precious, adorable, tiny dog that had only weighed 2lbs when I first brought him home, had outsmarted me, and was running my house. LoJack even had me cooking for him! To me having a pet/dog of any kind is like having another child. Do people argue the cost when their children are sick? TMAH was voted #1 Top Veterinarian Hospital in Woof Magazine here in Atlanta the April, May issue of last year, 2006, you can always call the office to confirm the month. Speaking of his staff, everyone knew how overprotective and just plain scared to death that I was if ANYTHING HAPPENED TO my precious ""baby."" But they worked with me, they were always very patient with me, never was there anything but the utmost respect given to me & proper care given to my Pom as well as my nerves. I cannot praise this group & Dr Izen any more than I am doing now, simply because I'm running out of space. Sincerely, Gena, LoJack's Mommy Pros: New, state of the art facility. Modern & clean. Can't say enough about TMAH Cons: This applies to all veternarian hospitals, not just TMAH, just a general observation, I wish they had ambulance service more

Less expensive than Montrose near Johnson Ferry Baptist Church 1/19/2008

I went to TMAH this summer for a 2nd opinion concerning a golden with suspicious moles/growths. I questioned Montrose. They wanted to remove and biopsy all 4 of them since they "looked suspicious" and charge me 1400.\r The next day at TMAH they said they wouldn't put a dog through this procedure since his lymph nodes were so huge (the cancer had already spread) and that the moles were an extremely aggressive type of cancer. They said removing them would be purely for cosmetic reasons only- it wouldn?t do anything to deter the problem. They gave me medication to help him keep his quality of life (appetite and ability to move around) but said he had about 2 weeks. They were absolutely correct. Not only did TMAH forgo an unnecessary procedure, the item by item charges for routine procedures are less expensive than Montrose. By the way, Montrose was going help me out by letting me do a payment plan for the biopsies but charge me a 25% fee for this "help" ? RIDICULOUS! I have moved more

THE BEST VETERINARIAN AND ANIMAL HOSPITAL 11/29/2007

I just can't believe some of the negative post for Terrell Mill Animal Hospital. Come on guys, how long have you used this Vet? Me, I first started back in 1984 when they were a little brown brick building across the street, taking my Himalayan cat in 1984, then in 1989, I took my St Bernard and currently, since 2003, even though I no longer have my other pets, I do have a 6lb Pomeranian, that Dr Izen, took the time, patience, understanding and without even requesting or knowing, Dr Izen waived several of my office visits the first 2yrs I owned LoJack simply because I didn't have a clue how to properly own, feed, take care of a Pomeranian. Dr Izen literally had to train and coach me when it came to the proper custody and care for such a delicate animal. Great Place 11/27/2007

I love this location. I do not believe it is too expensive because whenever I go visit Dr. Huggins with my cats, she remembers all about them and answers all my questions. Since they are my babies, I ask a lot of questions. I started going here after a friend had a sick cat and his vet could not diagnose, so he came to Terrell Mill Animal Hospital and they identified the problem and his cat recovered.\r \r To those who think this place is too expensive - sorry, but the quality and timeliness of service is worth the price. more

Unprofessional money-grubbing hacks 8/18/2007

After six years of loyalty, we are leaving Terrell Mill for a vet clinic staffed by professional, knowledgable, compassionate doctors who care more about treating our pets than gouging our wallets. A simple test for hypothyroid turned into five additional tests that proved nothing. Expensive medications, unnecessary tests used to simply jack up your bill, and a useless staff that sees dollar signs with each pet has driven us away. Cons: vets who need to go back to school, $$$$$$ more

What a relief! 6/18/2007

After I wasted a week and lots of money at a clinic - who's name I wont say - I came to Terrel Mill Animal Hospital with little faith left on what to do about my sick cat. The staff was comforting and always checking on us to see if we needed anything. The facility was clean and well organized. The doctor and technicians were incredibly nice, informative, and helpful. My only regret is that I didn't go to them first; because what took a week and only resulted in empty pockets at the other clinic, the Terrell Mill Animal Hospital only needed one morning visit and my cat was back to her normal self by the next day. They took such care and concern and treated us with such respect; I was so impressed, and walked out with the biggest relief off of my shoulders! Thank you! more

OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE!!! 6/7/2007

I have read some of the recent negative postings and would agree wholeheartedly that this office is very expensive - $2000 out of pocket in less than a year. $1200 for dental!!! Prescriptions and services - OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE. Nice office but they must have to charge the exhorbitant prices to cover the rent. I'm using these pages to search for a competent, caring and reasonably priced vet - of which there are many. more

Vet Office 8/8/2006

This is a great vet office. They are office of Powers Ferry, next to Mcdonalds and accross from the Elementary School. Easy to find, with ample parking spaces. They are also open on the weekends making it easy for those of you that have pets but can't make it to the vet during the week. They are nice, courteous, and even have an after hour emergency call phone number. more
