Good experience 12/1/2011

I have two dogs, both labs, I've been going here for annual check-ups, shots and to get my flea/tick medicine and heart worm pills since I moved to Apex in 2009. The office is clean, the location is convenient and the staff is friendly. On my most recent visit they found a lump (fatty tumor) on one of my dogs, so we scheduled the surgery, they removed it, examined it and it turned out to be benign. Could have been a big deal, but was a pretty straightforward experience, they communicated well what to expect and made it happen. Recommend. Pros: null Cons: null more

Can't seem to get anything right. 11/25/2011

Techs are very disorganized. They lack the necessary knowledge to answer/address the simplest issues. Expensive, the techs provide conflicting information, and their visit reminder system is completely inaccurate. Their records are not updated as they should be. The wrong dosage of medicine has been prescribed to my dog two times. $1000 later, we are switching vets. The relation between VCA and the Wake County pound fosters what seems to be a complete lack of attention to detail when it comes to the care for animals. Happy Clients 2/2/2011

I was surprised to read some negative reviews of VCA Cornerstone on here, so I thought I would share my own experience. I've been a Cornerstone client since 2005. I have had nothing but positive experiences with the doctors and staff. I have never been pressured to purchase anything. Frequently, for optional services, I have asked for and received very impartial advice about whether or not my dogs need that particular service. The doctors, techs and office staff are always friendly and knowledgeable and always take the time to try to make the experience a little less yucky for my pups. I haven't comparison shopped to find the cheapest vet in the area because care is more important than price to me, but their prices seem consistent with what friends in the area pay other clinics. I'm a picky pet parent and would not continue to bring my dogs here if I had any reservations about the care they receive or the people from whom they receive it. I trust them to do what is best for my dogs and have never been let down. more

New Client - will be going back 3/31/2010

I moved here not too long ago and my lab was recently due for her annual check-up and rabies. Despite some of the older negative reviews I read I decided to take a chance and go here because I?ve had positive experience with VCA in the past. The service was great, the staff gave my dog so much attention I thought she would be spoiled rotten by the time I got home. The prices were pretty similar to what you?d expect to pay for the type of service you get, plus I had a coupon for new clients that I got off their website. Wonderful Vet Care 2/26/2010

I have recently found a kitten on the side of the road and brought him to VCA for a check-up. The Dr's were wonderful and checked him head to toe to make sure he was fine. I was not charged for anything extra and was surprised at how thorough they were. I have two other dogs and bring all my animals to VCA. For those complaining about paying for services, I say those are just ignorant pet owners. No good vet will give your animal a shot without examining them first. VCA is an upfront and honest clinic and I wouldn't trust my animals care to anyone else. Pros: Awesome vets, wonderful friendly staff, knowledgeable Cons: None more

Great place for your pets! 2/26/2010

I will never take my pets anywhere else! I feel welcome every time I come through the doors and am greeted by name. The entire staff truly love my pets and seem to genuinely love their jobs. The doctors practice great medicine and they price match those expensive heartworm medications. Way to go VCA Cornerstone. Pros: availability, friendly, great doctors Cons: none more

Make an appointment to gets shots. They say he needs a "physical first "(charge). I get the physical, tell them I want "ALL" the shots. They say okay. Pros: The building has air conditioning Cons: Sleazy, lazy, do listen . more

Good for emergencies (of course) 11/11/2008

Quick service, reasonable prices, cared for my dog well when he was hospitalized for several days. Several payment options when they bill is WAY too big. I've never had a problem with them although I've heard quite a few complaints from others! more

Family Member 8/4/2008

If your animal is like ours - they are part of the family and we wanted only the best. When we moved here we found ourselves in need of a place to board our 12yrs old dog. Our dog had never been board before so this was a real concern. We had many questions that were answered and my husband was able to tour the place. The doctors and staff are the best, very helpful and oh so friendly. After 12 years the vet here was able to diagnose our dogs stomach problem. We felt that our dog received a thorough examine,the best of care, and came home very happy dog. Thank VCA of High House rd. more

Expensive and Terrible Customer Service 4/1/2008

Avoid this place if you love your animal and your money. This is the most expensive vet in the area and they will do anything they can to make your bill higher than it needs to be. We have spent lots of money here and they charged us $120 for a medication for our dog that we could have gotten for $12 at another vet and they will not take the prescription back or price match it. This was just the final straw, there are many things wrong with this establishment. We have now closed all of our accounts with them and will never return. Sorry VCA you really screwed up this time, because being stingy lost you at least 3 patients and all of our friends animals that we referred to you. Hope your happy.
