One of our fav places to go as a Family 3/28/2010

My girls and I love coming to UMNH and can spend hours in the museum. The faculty and volunteers, you can tell they really care, love the museum and want to educate everyone that walks in the doors in a fun and friendly way. Sometimes things can appear disorganized, smushed or a bit messy BUT I know this will not be the case when they are in their new place in 2011! I want my girls to volunteer here when they are old enough, we talk about this place at home almost every day. If you come, you will see us there! Date Night, Family Day Out or Birthday Party, @UNMH is the place to be! This is a museum that you will stay in for hours and feel like you got your moneys worth You can see more of what I thought about it at the Utah Sassy Scoops site. Pros: cheap, very informative, very friendly Cons: they are running out of room for stuff! more

Lose yourself in the past 6/12/2002

I've loved this museum since I was a little kid attending summertime day-camps here. It's a nice place to sit and feel removed from the bustling University crowd. If you get the chance, take advantage of the collection tours in the basement. There's tons of stuff on display, but what goes on behind the scenes is quite fascinating. Pros: Good for kids Cons: Limited parking more
