Finally, I have found my Indianapolis salon, a one stop shop for ultimate ?you-time.? Urban Gypsy is amazing. Knowledgeable. Friendly. Local. Nestled in the heart of Broad Ripple, Urban Gypsy offers a wide range of services from highlights to Eastern Thai massage. For my first visit I chose a Swedish Relaxation massage with Rich followed by an Urban Facial with Cindy. Worth every penny! I have always been one for ambiance. Comfortable surroundings breed comfort. I found the setting and style of Urban Gypsy to be quite relaxing. At the behest of a friend, I decided to give Urban Gypsy a try. I am always a little nervous trying a new stylist. Christopher made me feel relaxed and at ease. Further, Christopher did an excellent job on my hair, which is, after all, the whole reason I was there. I would highly recommend Christopher and Urban Gypsy to anyone. Great experience 4/7/2010

My experience was great with Chris. I called in that day and he was able to get me in which was great. I only needed a trim but I really liked how he did it. I told him I was thinking of coloring my hair and he brought up some great suggestions that I am planning on trying! He was very friendly and easy to talk to. I will be back for my next cut. My first experience at Urban Gypsy was fantastic! My stylist, Chris, was able to get me in the very same day that I called, which immediate gave me a good feeling about the place. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the salons large service menu ( waxes, facials, massages etc. ) and relaxed atmosphere. Chris was able to give me an informative consultation and backed it up with an amazing color and cut. Additionally, his positive attitude, attentiveness, and flexibility were refreshing and even more incentive for me to return. Ultimately, Urban Gypsy is a fresh and trendy salon that provides quality services, reasonable prices and a friendly staff. Pros: quality, price, staff Cons: nope more

I had a massage with Rich Nagle and it was the worst massage I've ever had. I've had more than 100 professional massages in my life and have never felt uncomfortable-- until now. After telling him that my back was sore and NOT to concentrate on my legs, he took an active interest in my butt, inner thighs, and the sides and tops of my breats. He barely touched my back. He also made no effort to cover me when he was massaging close to ""private areas"". Other masseuses have been meticulous about making sure everything is covered. I do not think there are many muscles in your groin area or the tops of your breasts. Cons: inappropriate more

Excellent Stylists 1/17/2010

Chris is an awesome stylist for just starting out in the hair business! I've gone to him for the past year and also while he was still in beauty school! He does everything he can to make your hair look perfect! I have never walked outta there with a bad hairdo. He is great and I would highly recommend him. Chris also does an amazing job with eyebrow waxing! PERFECT! I won't go anywhere else. Pros: Up to date with the lastest trends!! more

Amazing atmosphere and people!! 1/16/2010

Christopher is an OUTSTANDING stylist! I started getting my hair done by him while he was still in beauty college and since have followed him here. I have received color, highlights, and multiple haircuts in which I always leave the salon satisfied. Cindy has also done incredible work on my face performing the Urban facial. I have been going to Jessica for six years. There are many people cutting hair out there, some in the quickie inexpensive places and others in elaborate expensive salons. She demonstrates not only a skill for working with hair, but possess an abundant knowledge which she intuitively uses when working with hair. I have had Jessica cut and style my hair for a few years now and have always been happy with the outcome. Even when the style grows out, the cut is so good that my hair is still manageable. I have recommended Jessica to many people, and will continue to do so. As for the salon, the Urban Gyspy staff have always been very friendly and quick to schedule me when I call. Mary Ann Havens Rocks!!!! 11/5/2009

I've been going to Mary for awhile now and everytime I step out of the salon I'm even more thrilled than the last time!!! Sometimes I go in not knowing exactly what I want to do with my hair and tell her to try something new and it's perfection every time!!! She knows exactly what to do! When I started going to her, I had horrible, dry, course, brittle hair and now it's healthy, shiny, and looks great!!!! Mary and the staff at Urban Gpysy are great!!!
