The best little karate dojo in Brooklyn 3/1/2006

This small karate dojo is a diamond in the rough, run by a very dedicated and skilled instructor who loves all things karate, but also knows that it's just one part of life. The monthly rate and freedom to attend whatever classes you want makes it easy to fit it in to your schedule. The small school size means a lot of personalized attention. Weeknight classes are convenient (unless you work nights). Classes cover a wide variety of material and are fairly different from one day to the next: a good balance of workout, pushing you to your limits, learning, and having fun. Mostly karate, but other techniques are covered as well. Other than the age division (children, teen/adult, adult,) students of all levels learn together; everyone has something to learn from the others. Two free weeks of class to anyone who wants to try it out, no strings attached. Pros: Great instruction, great community, Fun Cons: L-train, no lockers/storage, no weekend classes more

Overall wonderful experience . . . 10/20/2005

This school provided everything a parent or a student could ask for - from individual attention by friendly instructors and assistants to exciting lessons (that focus on a variety of items like discipline, exercise, learning, and ensuring that the students have fun). more
