Mr. Tinnian really screwed up my case. He failed to get police video tapes that prove I am innocent. Now I have to pay a big fine and pay the state back for his ridiculous fees. I would never hire him. If he gets appointed to your case ask the judge to give you a different attorney. It will save you a lot of grief. more

I would rate it a negative if I could. This guy is about as shady as they come and should not even be a lawyer. And his "side kick" Cedar County Magistrate Theresa Seeberger-Butters-Simon-Lee (She's a lesbian who gets married and divorced quite frequently), they work together as a team and use some of their other connections to get their agenda accomplished. I've had dealing with both of them, neither should be attorney's, let alone a magistrate. Very scary for our system! They are compulsive liars, for supposedly representing the justice system. I'm reading these other reviews and I am shocked. Raymond has been my lawyer for about a year now working on my case, which included multiple felonies and misdemeanors (I believe 13 all together) all wrapped up into one incident, and he has been working miracles for me. I have since my incident turned my life around quickly and he has been fighting to make sure I can continue to get things on track. I'm 17 years old, I turn 18 on 10/31/12, I made a mistake September of 2011. I was 16 at the time of the incident, and I was put into adult court facing some serious charges, and a lot of time. Raymond Tinnian got some of those charges dropped, some reduce, I'll most likely be on probation paying restitution, and this phase of court isn't over yet, but I may also have a differed judgement. I won't have to suffer for a stupid mistake for the rest of my life with felonies on my record. thanks to this man. I have thoroughly researched and investigated this attorney, as he was brought to my attention by a colleague. What Ihave found is that this attorney is potentially dangerous to the client, because he is an active sociopath. My book will detail this at great length, but for now, I would caution anyone who might use him as an attorney, to seriously reconsider it. more

While researching court records in WASHINGTON AND POLK counties, I found that this attorney continues to lie in court records. He continues to make false accusations and claims against innocent people. He makes these false claims while presenting NO evidence. The result of this is simple: wasted court resources and forcing heavy litigation costs on anyone he chooses to harass in court. This attorney uses the court as his evil playground. The courts/judges are equally to blame though, because despite the obvious lies and waste of court resources, the court does not take action against Tinnian that would encourage him to follow the Iowa Rules of Civil Procedure. In fact, by not enforcing court rules on Mr. Tinnian, the court assists him in making a mockery of the justice system, as well as harass decent citizens. I have collected more than seven years of material on this loser Tinnian and have passed it on to Gary Baker. Baker is writing books about Tinnian's ethics, as well as an unauthorized biography on Tinnian. When those are published , i would encourage the public to read about this guy. Raymond Tinnian is legal scum. He uses his position as a lawyer to scam the innocent, prey on the vulnerable, and obstruct justice. Everything he touches turn to chaos. He files false motions to intentionally delay cases; he provided perjured testimony when questioned by the court; he forges affidavits to file in court; he is criminally violent and attacks people who get in his way. Raymond is known to beat women, arson the homes of enemies, vandalize propery of the innocent, and prey on young children. Be wary, and stay clear of him, lest you become one of his victims. Raymond Tinnian is the worst lawyer I ever met. The judge and DA had to repeatedly correct him because he did not know the law. He bad mouthed other lawyers yet he was incompetent. He stunk like cigaretes and cheap cologne. He was scared to go to court. What kind of lawyer is afraid of going to court? He was timid and weak, and cowered like a child in the presence of other lawyers or judges. What a joke. He is a loser, a moron, and just plain dumb. If you are thinking of hiring him, watch out because he will squeeze every dime out of you and you will get no results. more

Would suggest not using this attorney. He was ill prepared when he appeared on my behalf in court. He did not know the facts of my case, which was pretty evident when the judge and county attorney kept correcting his recitations. After all of this, instead of just admitting he did not do well, blamed the judge and county attorneys, adding that both were morons and didnt know the law. He then went on to say everyone in the damn courthouse was lazy and he gets tired of being the only one that cares about the clients. I do not know what was more painful:watching him in court or listening to bitch outside of court. more

I didn't have Mr. Tinnian as my attorney but I had a consultation. I was not impressed. I spoke with a few prominant DUI lawyers prior to speaking with Mr. Tinnian. I knew from the start that he did not know anything about DUI defense. He was filling me with BS and pushing hard for the sale. After hiring another lawyer, I asked him about Mr. Tinnian. He said that Raymond Tinnian is a laughing stock of the legal profession. He overcharges clients, provides poor representation, is disrespected by the other lawyers, and pitied by judges. I was told he had over 40 ethics complaints and needed a mental health evaluation! Come to think if it, he did seem somewhat insane to me with his beedy little eyes. He just acted weird--like a stalker. Again, I did not hire him. I am only letting people know of my experience with him during the consultation, and how other lawyers perceive him as incompetent. more

I heard that attorney Raymond Tinnian was fired because he stole $10,000 from a law firm and even more of the client's money. He had to open his own office out of his home b/c no one would hire him. He has the worst reputation in town. I also heard he had an ethics complaint from a former client who he tried to slip a roofie in her drink when he asked her out for drinks at a bar. This creep took 1000 dollars of my money, did nothing on my case, and then had the nerve to ask me out for drinks and to smoke pot. He is sleezy. When I rejected him, he freaked out on me. I thought he was going to hurt me. He has a violent temper. He is psycho. Ladies, do not risk your safety. He bragged that one of his best friends is a registered sex offender and convicted child molester who would babysit his little daughter. This attorney has an unprecedented (over 35) ethics complaints against him. His sister successfully prosecuted one of those complaints in which it was found that Tinnian had "misrepresented," statements in court documents. Further, this attorney was also admonished for false advertising, as he has been advertising as an OWI specialist, even though he has NO SPECIFIC skills to be able to do so. USE THIS ATTORNEY AT YOUR OWN RISK. Even though he was admonished for false advertising, this attorney continues to run the same advertising he was admonished for. more
