Best

It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at goo.gl/FPxYD They have some of the best hotel deals on the web!

This is NOT the best hotel in Nashville. Beautiful? Yes. Convenient to downtown? Obviously. Great Service? THINK AGAIN. When you pay a few hundred dollars to stay at a hotel, ...

AMAZING Wedding Venue 6/7/2010

I just held our wedding reception and housed most of our guests at the beautiful Hermitage Hotel. I was asked numerous times by many friends who my wedding coordinator was for such an exquisite event, and I have to admit that I didn't have one... I didn't NEED one because Joann and the wonderful staff at the Hermitage Hotel took care of every need, presented every possible scenario, offered every service, and went above and beyond to ensure that my husband, myself, and our guests were treated with 5 star service. Our friends can't stop talking about the attention to detail, the amazing staff, the wonderful rooms, and the delicious food we served at the wedding! I could not have dreamed of a more fairytale-like wedding, and it was all thanks to the extremely capable hands of Joann Camcam and the wonderful staff of the Hermitage Hotel. Thank you so very much. Pros: Exceptional Service, Attentive Staff, Delicious Food more

Totally Worth It 3/1/2010

I actually live in Nashville and just stayed here for the sake of having a romantic night away from home. Therefore, I can say that maybe for a simple solo business trip this might not be the best choice. However, if all you want is a luxurious weekend and have the ability to splurge a little bit then this is an excellent choice! The staff is very accomodating. I made a special request on an online form and received multiple emails from the concierge about it beforehand. The bathtub is a great size and you can watch tv while relaxing which I really enjoyed. They offer a few different pillow selections- including buckwheat which you don't see very many places. The room was very large and included a small sitting area. There was a problem with the TVs which isn't a huge deal to me because I have the same problem at home. The hotel has Directv box there is no Directv box in the room with the tv so the channels are strange and do not match the in-room channel guide. For the price you pay for the room a cable box should be in the room so the TV works the way it is supposed to. Altogether my stay here was excellent and everything I imagined it to be! I probably won't stay here again for quite sometime- this was just a special occasion- but I would reccomend it to others. Pros: Bathtub, Pillows, Room Size, Service Cons: TVs, Wish I could have afforded to stay longer more

Response from the Hermitage Hotel 11/13/2007

Dear Mr. St. John,\r \r I am very concerned to read your comments regarding your unsatisfactory experiences in our establishments here. It seems we missed all the way around. Please accept my apologies, and consider allowing us to make things right with you. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you in person so that we can get things back on track. We will do whatever seems appropriate to that end.\r \r I hope to hear from you soon. You can call me here at the hotel, 615-345-7101.\r \r Sincerely,\r Greg Sligh\r Managing Director\r \r more

HHHHHHOOORRIIIIIIIIBBLLLEEEE 10/30/2007

You will get better service at a Super 8. Trust me, this is NOT a five star hotel. Afternoon tea service-LOUSEY. A decent assortment of television channels-NOT (even Hampton Inn gives you the Premium channels). I won't even begin to lament about the abismal service in the bar. I stayed at the Union Station last time and decided to ""treat"" myself to a five star establishment. I was wrong. Union Station-take me back - PLEASE Pros: In the heart of the homeless population Cons: In the heart of the homeless population more

What's all the Hype ? Sub Par Hotel 5/10/2007

This is NOT the best hotel in Nashville. Beautiful? Yes. Convenient to downtown? Obviously. Great Service? THINK AGAIN. When you pay a few hundred dollars to stay at a hotel, you expect at least good service. I've stayed at the Hermitage now on a couple different occasions, and have not been impressed (to say the least). My luggage was lost on the flight here--it was like pulling teeth to get a toothbrush/toothpaste from the concierge. Ordered breakfast...it never came. If you are a tourist with lots of time to spare, this is the hotel for you. However, not the best hotel for business travelers. Pros: Ambience, Scenery, Location, Historical Cons: Service more

Best Hotel in Nashville 10/29/2006

My wife and I try to stay here once every year for a special occasion. Out of all the hotels I've seen in Nashville I'd rate the Hermitage hotel the best. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave the staff is extremely cordial. The rooms are very comfortable and ensure a relaxing stay. \r \r I'd highly recommend going to the bar down stairs as it has a really cool 'old school' vibe to it. Not the cheapest hotel in town but the best, bar none. Pros: Rooms, Service more

Awesome 3/10/2006

This is a great hotel. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are very nice. Pros: quality, service, staff more

Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!! 1/27/2006

By far the most the most service-oriented hotel that I've ever stayed in. Concierge service is fantastic. The food in the restaurant is to die for. The lounge even has a Sommelier on staff and he even gave me a private tour of the historic art deco men's room. Six Stars!!!!! Pros: Dining, Bar, Vallet more

World class service, hotel 6/13/2005

Truly world class in every respect. Beautiful rooms, service that will suprise you. Pros: Service, Accomodations, Food more

Perfect 5/17/2005

My husband and I stayed at the Hermitage Hotel for our wedding night and I have made reservations again for our anniversary. I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was here. The down comforters, plush robes, and garden tubs make for such a pleasant stay. We had breakfast at the grille the next morning, which was also excellent. I highly recommend it. more

5 Star yes... 10/18/2004

The hotel is definitely a 5 start hotel. We checked in on Friday night. The hotel was quiet but everything was beautiful. We checked into our room and everything was clean and well layed out. The only negative thing I have to say is that the hotel is more of a business hotel as there is not much happening in the evening there. The service by each employee was flawless! more

Ranked third?!?!? 3/9/2004

How could you possibly have listed Opryland(the biggest tourist trap) as second? How could you list Union Station number one? It is clear to me you have never experienced the wonderful Hermitage Hotel. I was recently there and could not be happier with the room or the service. You are treated as if you are royalty, make sure you watch your ego when you leave. This is the most romantic hotel in Nashville. Make sure you ask your bellboy for a tour, you will be amazed at the history of the hotel. Did I mention they just had a 20 million dollar restoration? Pros: STAFF, LOCATION, ROOMS more

The Best night 5/27/2003

The Staff was exceptional they helped me plan a special night of proposing to my girlfriend of five years and took care of all the reservations. It truley was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Pros: quiet more

Stayed on Valentines 2003 2/28/2003

We stayed at the Hermitage Hotel on Valentines day, on their reopening day in 2003. It was so luxurious and special. We got a package that included candy, champagne, breakfast in the room, late checkout, and valet parking. Everything was very nice. Everyone was super, super nice and attentive. There were a few kinks, long wait for dinner in the grill, some charges on our bill were incorrect, but they were fixed. The kinks were expected since it was their opening day and it was Valentines. All restaurants are usually sloooowwww on valentines. I would love to stay there again. Pros: room luxurious, service excellent Cons: expensive more

Finally - back to grandeur 1/17/2003

The Hermitage Hotel will soon be - something even more special. I cannot wait to see what this place will looke like. I travel for a major hotel company - all over the world. Being from Nashville, I am excited that we will soon have the class and charm that is associated with great hotels in great cities. Pros: basically new, historic Cons: n/a more

Oh what a night! 11/21/2002

My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night and the room was just wonderful. The service was great and the atmosphere of the hotel is wonderful. We plan on staying there for our 6th anniversary when it reopens this year! more

Great people! 8/5/2002

Just before I got my married my husband and I walked the downtown area looking for the hotel to stay in on our wedding night. The Hermitage was the only place that truly treated us like they wanted our business. The lady at the counter had the head bell man take us to see a suite and she told my husband to make sure the men's room on the lower level was empty and then let me see the old shoe shine chair in there. The night we stayed included wonderful service and incredible food for a very reasonable price. We are looking forward to the Hermitage Hotel reopening after thier remodel is complete so that we can enjoy an anniversary there! Pros: convienience, service, view more
