Thai Star is a great little restaurant, the quality and price are hard to beat. One of my go-to dishes is the Kapow, I make it a point to try different items from the menu and have enjoyed everything I have had. The staff is excellent and the service is friendly and efficient without feeling rushed. This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the metroplex. more

Wow, we tried a new place for lunch. Now it is my favorite Thai food in Dallas. (sorry, Royal Thai) I had Broccoli Stir Fry...garlicky, fresh ingredients, mouth watering...delish....also with a nice spicy kick. I ordered medium. My fellow diners were equally delighted with their entrees. I had a bite of the noodles and they tasted like more. I can't wait to go back...maybe this weekend! more

My wife and I brought another couple with us to Thai Star last week! WHAT A GREAT TIME!! We ordered 4 entrees and split them up between us...WHAT A FEAST!! Between the Shrimp/Pork Dumplings, the fantastic noodle and chicken dishes, plus Shrimp rolls---YUMMMMMM!!! We savored every bite! This restaurant really made our time with special friends an EXTRA SPECIAL EVENT, and a night to remember! The service was excellent, and Mark, the co-owner, took care of our every need Quick-Quick! Such a delight to find an excellent restaurant with great food and great service!! We will be back again soon! Try it---YOU'LL LOVE IT!! Bring your friends--you'll be glad you did!! more

I just back from my second visit and I've got the say this is the best Thai food I've had in Dallas. The first time I went, I started with the shrimp and pork dumpling. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. My friend and I fought over the last one. I also had the 8 angles with pork. It was sooo good. The vegetables and noodles were perfectly cooked and the sauce was fantastic. I could hardly wait to go back the next week, started with the shrimp rolls, excellent elongated shrimp in a wrapper and fried. Also had the herbed chicken fried rice. It was small pieces of fried chicken breast that had a hint of lemon grass and lime with jasmine rice and other mixed vegetables. It was great. The new owners do everything they can to make you feel at home and you can tell the chef takes pride in her work, the food really shows it. This is hands down my new favorite restaurant. more

Thai Star is a wonderful experience if you like cozy, one of a kind, I?ve stepped out of my hectic life, into an oasis in Addison type of place. We all need that ? especially if you?ve had the week I had. more

I thought I was going out for Thai? What's the deal with the really bad ...effing terrible live folk? singer? I should have seen it coming with the new management adding T.V.'s and recorded music at what was until recently a solid spot for lunch. You don't know what you are going to get with this place anymore. Apparently it could be buffet style place with guys in jean shorts and flip flops wandering in with a six pack under their arm to just sit around when you were expecting to take a date to a genuine Thai restaurant. Or its a bad live music showcase which sets a mood that could only be compared to homeless person battered with filth being seated at your table and then sneezing all over you. My co-workers and I have been going to this location for lunch for years but the new owners who went into great detail when describing the ""authentic"" Thai dishes and ""traditional"" Thai decor initially , now have mixed mash of ill-fitting parts. What a disappointment more

I was so happy when I found the Thai Star. This place is so cool on the inside and the found is authentic. They have a very wide menu with so many options!! This is a great atmosphere for a date or also for family or business dinner. It has an intimate feel and is perfect for a getaway dinner in Addison. They also deliver and do take out which i love! I would recommend this place to anyone! Great thai food! more
