My service tech Allan showed up on time, and came to the door and told me what he was going to do for this visit and asked if I was having any particular problems. He checked my house out and sprayed around the perimeter. When he was finished, he came back to the door and told me what he had done, and gave me a copy of my completed paperwork. more

I received a voicemail telling me that Terminix needed to reschedule my appointment because they had a lot of jobs in the morning and didn't want to rush. When I called customer service today I found out that my appointment was changed. I find it ridiculous that I have a conformation for an appointment (for over a week) and the day before they changed it in the system without confirming with me. more

TERMINIX extorts $560 'MINIMUM REPAIR CHARGE' 11/10/2011

We needed a termite inspection per purchase agreement for a condo unit in a complex with a Terminix contract on it for which the HOA pays an exhorbitant amt of $$$ yearly. Terminix said if a different company did the inspection, they would not be responsible for that unit going fwd. So we ordered their inspection. Phone person was abrupt, crabby & rude from the beginning, and although the request was made over 8 or 9 days before the closing, I was told that only gave them 1 day to get it done b4 closing because they were all booked up. Appt time was 10-12. Selling agent, seller, seller's adult daughter all there waiting from 10am on. Technician came after 12:10, stayed no more than 5-10 minutes per owner's daughter (this is a 3-story unit), then submitted a report saying there was mold on the back door, inactive termite damage etc...apparently what was on last year's inspection report. Too bad he didn't actually do the inspection... because all of that was repaired, including replacing the suspect door & door trim 4 months ago. PLUS his report says Terminix will do the repairs for $560!! When the agent confronted the technician by phone to tell him where the damage was, the technician got caught in his lies, because the agent saw that the door, trim etc was all new and repainted. So technician said the $560 charge to do the 'repairs' was their MINIMUM CHARGE!--REALLY!!?? Now Terminix phone goes straight to recorder, have left many mssgs that we need a reinspection and clearance so that we can close out the escrow. Although inspection report stated 'no active infestation', and repairs have been made previously, technician says Terminix won't clear the unit unless THEY get $560 for THEIR 'repairs'. This is extortion. Use Western Exterminators or anybody else, and run--don't walk--from Terminix!! Also, the escrow company stated that Terminix is TERRIBLE to deal with and truly BAD NEWS based on multiple experiences with them! more

For TERMITE needs,save yourself...go anywhere,but Terminix! 7/13/2011

I've never had a Branch Manager leave a message and say, ""I heard you been trying to call me..."" or a sales rep say, ""If you have a problem with me, call my supervisor...you can complain all you want"" Couple problems with this, what happened to customer service? And, contrary to Terminix's message, THEY DO NOT CALL BACK WITHIN 24 HOURS. Needless to say, in addition to the above, I had multiple problems. The removal of my tent did not come off when it was supposed to...and the gas company came when the tent was still on my home. Hence, I had to call the gas company to correct the problem AFTER the tent came off. I was told 5 hours AFTER the designated time, ""Terminix cannot control what the gas company does..."" I understand that, but Terminix DID NOT do anything to help my inconvenience of moving back into my home WITHOUT ANY HOT WATER, OR BEING HOMELESS WHILE WAITING FOR THE TENT TO COME OFF. At the very least, the sales rep did not apologize for my inconvenience, apologize for the delay in the removal of the tent; nor did he call the next day to see if the gas was ever turned on again. Nothing. I made 5 phone calls to my assigned sales rep to no avail. It took my husband threatening to sue, and speaking to a supervisor to react. My husband received a returned call in 10 minutes; and the tent removed in sixty. Unbelievable. I will say, Terminix's ""fumigation"" manager did call me to see if I was ""happy with the service."" I asked for a letter of apology and monetary compensation (20% - 30% off of my original invoice). I was told they would take that under advisement. I've been a Terminix customer for over 7 years (the ant/mice subsidiary). I'm glad the economy is serving this company well, and they can do away with my business...we'll see if my request is taken seriously. I would have given them ""zero stars,"" but this program wouldn't allow me to take it off. BTW, If anyone should decide to take a leap of faith and use Terminix - good luck. Get everything in writing! more
