Avanti Skin Center of Cool Springs/ Dr. Meers............................ run as fast as you can. Creepy and unethical does not begin to describe my experience there. I paid $300 for a cutera laser treatment on my small speider veins and it did not work. I was promised by Dr. Meers that after one session I'd see results. Well, I had two and still no results. My legs look far worse now than when I first went in there. I asked for my money back so that I could seek treatment elsewhere. He refused. He refused to treat me any further saying he did not know why it did not work on me, then left the room saying he had other patients to see. Funny thing...... I was the only patient there. I decided to go to a real doctor, a vein specialist at a hospital, for help. It was there that I was told how ineffective laser was on leg speider veins. Dr. Meer's laser procedure caused some clotting in my leg veins which had to be punctured to release the red fluid which makes up our veins. My new doctor couldn't believe Dr. Meers left me in that condition where the trapped fluid( blo... d) would eventually scar the leg with a dark puddle-like effect. This was a painful experience for me all because of Dr. Meers negligence and ""out to get your money"" philosophy. He does not care about his patients. Run like hell, I tell ya! Don't be fooled by the beautiful office space and glamour of it all as I was. The glamorous cover of a book can often camouflage the truth on the inside. Research and read reviews such as these before you throw money away to an unworthy, unethical doctor like Dr. Meers. I wish I had done my homework before hand. Now I am paying the price big time. That old saying ""you get what you pay for"", not always true. I paid well and I got ripped! I wrote to the State of Tn. Dept. of Health and to the Dept. of Commerce and Insurance/Tn. Division of Consumer Affairs to file a complaint. I suggest toanybody else who gets raked over the coals to do the same.
