A magical place of inspiration! 10/19/2009

A magical place where you can expand your mind and find true inspiration and challenge all your artistic whims. I have just started sculpting clay as well as carving marble. I also take life drawing class. I have found my true vocation. Teale Street is a treasure I am so glad I found it. It feels like a 1950's French style atelier/studio. It really feels like a grass roots kind of place, run by artists for artist! The instructors are great. They are all very helpful and encouraging. They seem to welcome all artists, the beginner like me thru advanced. When you are in Teale Street Sculpure Studio you feel like you never have to leave, it is almost like they have everything you need to create!. Pros: Carve Stone and Clay, what more could you ask for more

Best sculpture school in L.A. with clay and stone classes 11/11/2008

Best clay school in town! Friendly atmosphere; great teachers, too. George and Vlad are both\r the best. They are patient, working with me as a beginner as well as with the others in the class that\r are more advanced. They allow you to be creative in your own way, Not the way another school that\r only permitted every student to work from the same pose of the model.\r Not only do they have classes in clay sculpture but also in stone sculpture, too. The stone \r teacher, Rudy, is great with me as a beginner also. This is the only 'stone sculpture class in L.A.\r It is a relaxed atmosphere, a place you can have dirt on your clothes without worrying what you look' like.\r The duration of the classes are longer than other schools I've attended.\r Best kept secret in Los Angeles;\r A sculpture studio that caters to all levels of students. A great place to let loose and enjoy a new hobby. Pros: ambience; good parking; great teachers Cons: Need to have weekend classes more

Best sculpture studio on the westside!!! 11/7/2008

Wish there were more stars to rate them. Simply the best. I have been looking for a good sculpture school -studio and friend of mine recommended this place, and I am lucky I found it. George is a hands on teacher, very patient with us beginners. They have clay and stone lessons , which is so unusual. Friendly environment ,warm atmosphere and reasonably priced. Pros: Plenty of convenient parking, great teachers Cons: wish there were more evening classes more
