Recent press release on Dr Fletcher 3/3/2010

(March 1, 2010) Plano Psychologist Dr. Susan Fletcher of Fletcher & Associates Psychological Services is the only psychological practice in Plano and all of Texas to offer a new computer test to assist in the proper diagnosis of Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD). \r The Quotient/ADHD™ System provides the first objective (unbiased) measurement for AD/HD.\r The Quotient/ADHD™ System\r Developed by physicians at Harvard, the Quotient/ADHD™ System objectively measures all 3 core symptoms of AD/HD: hyperactivity, impulsivity and inattention. \r \r The test was featured nationally on FOX & Friends on Feb. 19. \r \r The Quotient/ADHD test takes 15 minutes for children under 13 or 20 minutes for adolescents and adults. The system collects data on the person’s ability to sit still, inhibit impulsivity and respond accurately to images on a computer screen. The test consists of a motion tracking device, reflectors, LCD screen and keyboard. The individual wears a headband with an infrared tracking device. The infrared reflector is on the front of the headband and a motion tracking device is located in front of the individual. The motion tracking system detects movement greater than .04mm at a rate of 50 times per second.\r \r The test is now available for ages 6 and up at Psychologist Dr. Susan Fletcher’s Plano office.\r \r The Quotient/ADHD™ System provides an objective analysis based on age and gender to minimize misdiagnoses including dyslexia, depression, anxiety, and other behavioral issues. It provides peace of mind for those needing medication for AD/HD symptoms. Misdiagnosing and over-medicating are huge concerns today. Many parents worry about prescribing medication for ADHD. With the Quotient/ADHD Dr. Fletcher can also test the patient both before and after taking medication to objectively measure if and how well medication is working. \r \r \r \r Pros: provides the first objective (unbiased) measurement for AD/H more
