This is a great school with some of the best teachers around in my opinion. They give your child one on one attention and they will be honest with you about an issues or concerns they have about your child. This school makes learning fun for your children, and they provide great services including childcare which is very affordable. You can be confident that your child is being well taken care of here and is safe. more

Great Childcare, Preschool, Christian Education 8/17/2005

Stockdale Christian School is a place where you can trust that your children will be loved and nurtured. Whether you're looking for daycare or schooling at any level, the staff and teachers at Stockdale Christian are fabulous. They are known for providing quality education along with encouragement to live according to biblical values. The courses they offer are comparable to any public or private school, and they allow kids to advance as they are able instead of holding them back to the academic level of their peers (and, similarly, provide opportunities for those who are performing behind their peers to get special tutoring to advance their skills). Their school revolves around meeting children's needs, and it is evident! more

  • Established in 1977, Stockdale Christian School is an interdenominational ministry that serves students from more than 100 church fellowships. Stockdale Christian is approved by the Association of Christian Schools International and the Western Association of Christian Schools and Colleges. The programs offered include Christian training, reading, history, geography, science, handwriting, spelling, English, mathematics, sports and special academic services. It additionally offers computers, physical education, band, music, summer and extended day care, independent study and drama programs. Its Discovery Program utilizes techniques from the National Institute for Learning Disabilities and is designed to stimulate learning in areas where students experience difficulties. The long-term educational therapy is specifically designed for students who have been tested and diagnosed with specific learning disabilities. Its Endeavor Program is designed to assist students in reading by teaching phonemic awareness. This program uses the Lindamood-Bell techniques for teaching phonemic sequencing. Stockdale Christian School is located in Bakersfield Calif.
