I hosted may daughter's ""Sweet 16 Sail-abration"" this weekend and Star Fleet's service was superb! We felt like celebrities! Mark, Meg and Rush were awesome and made our party effortless. From the welcome to the waters (and allowing us to stop and see the dolphins), everyone's experience was memorable! Thank you for a super Saturday sail-abration...it was truly a sweet 16 to remember! more

I celebrated my 40th Birthday Celebration and had a blast the service was great the crew onboard were very helpful and courteous during our entire experience..The boat captain was awesome..However, Starfleets need to stock more beer whenever you say unlimited beer you need to have enough beer they ran out...other than that we had a blast and will try it again soon hopefully.... more

We have sailed on Star Fleet most years for the past 10 or 12 years on the fourth of July. This year we booked on one ship but were put on another with no notification from Star Fleet that this was happening. I think we originally booked on a higher priced ship, but we were not offered a refund for the overcharge or a choice of ships. No one from Star Fleet came to the cancelled ship to tell those waiting that this ship was not sailing and they had been placed on another ship.We only found out about it by asking another ship's Captain. The Captain looked at his roster and told us we were on his vessel. It was VERY crowded, particularly during dinner. The service was quite spotty. The food was mediocre at best. Unlike previous years no dessert was offered. We started booking the smaller ship because of the short staffing on the larger ships and the crowding. The Captain had a very difficult time keeping the ship pointed towards the fireworks. The steering engines were extremely loud which tended to spoil the atmosphere. We sat in the bow during the fireworks. While the view was terrific, the staff rarely visited the bow to get drink orders or pick up empties. We will have to think long and hard before booking again since Star Fleet's service and attitude has slipped so far. more

Managers of our company took a 2-hour dinner cruise last week on the Star Cruiser. The service was great, and the food was delicious. I also received lots of positive comments from our team members who were lucky enough to attend. more

I took my husband on the Murder Mystery Dinner Cruise to celebrate his birthday. It was a blast! I had been to a murder myster dinner theater before, and this one was heads and shoulders above the last one I attended--and that one was pretty great too. more

Our company leased the Star Gazer for an evening dinner cruise for 25 people just last week. Their office staff and crew onboard were very helpful and courteous during the entire experience. However, Starfleet needs to pay a bit more attention to detail. more

My wife and I went on the Murder Mystery Dinner Cruise on Saturday, July 7th for our 4th anniversary and we had a blast. The skit was very entertaining and the audience got to participate, making it fun for everyone on board. The captain was gracious and made us feel welcome, the food was great, and the crew was outstanding. We are glad we chose this cruise for our anniversary dinner. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 6/27/2012

My husband and I went on the Murder Mystery Dinner Cruise. We were so excited but it turned out to be such a disappointment. The food was bad, the show ended up having only one actor, the rest of the parts were played by members of the audience reading a script. There were some funny parts, but they really could have done a better job. They had 10 people crammed up at a table built for 8. The service was crappy. We were given water upon seating, but we were finished with our ""meal"" before we even got our drinks. The dessert was good. It was really obvious that this company's main objective is NOT to provide good entertainment, but instead to maximize their profits. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DINNER CRUISE TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

I went on the Father's day cruise and had a blast. We were late, and they were gracious enough to wait an extra few min. for us to arrive. When we arrived they service was great to offer us an drink. The food came out next, and was great. Kuddos to the chef. This time they had live entertainment, and the staff made of feel at home,a nd young and old was singing and dancing. The boat ride was great!! In all it was time we will never forget. Especially to Brian I believe he was in charge of the entertainment and staff, but most important Lisa. I would recommend this cruise to anyone. more

I cruised with Star Fleet yachts on Saturday, June 16, 2012 for the murder mystery dinner. The dinner wasn't great, but the banana cream dessert tarts were lovely. The atmosphere and energy of our captain and theater was great. The murder mystery was very interactive, and brought lots of laughs. Our server (i dont remember her name but she was a Caucasian lady with blond hair) did not ask our table if we would like water or soft drinks, and she took a extra long time to bring the drinks we ordered. Later in the evening she even forgot one of my drinks. Besides that, overall its a nice cruise. I would reccommend you look at the menu before booking to make sure they are serving food that you like. more

We had a very enjoyable evening on the Father's Day Dinner Cruise. The staff was very nice and the food was very good. We had champaigne and enjoyed the view, it was very relaxing along with the music made it simply wonderful... We plan on going on another trip! I would highly recommend it :-) more

Our experience was wonderful!! Yes, 6/11/2012

Our experience was wonderful!! Yes, your initial thought is ""way too expensive for 2 hours"" but we went ahead and booked it anyway as we were needing a weekend getaway. I am so glad that we did!! We booked the murder mystery cruise and the entertainment was great!! The audience participated, we laughed and laughed and had a great time! The food was great, the only complaint on it was the salad had the same type of vegetables in it as the vegetable dishes, it would have been nice for more of a variety, such as green salad or different vegetables. The customer service was also great, very organized. The waiter kept the drinks coming in a timely manner to everyone at our table. When given the opportunity again we will go again and will definitely tell our friends about it. more

This company is way too expensive for 6/11/2012

This company is way too expensive for the low-quality service they provided. For $8f a person, they served a measly raw (and yes, I mean VERY pink) hamburgers on ice cold buns, hot dogs (no chili or cheese), nasty cole slaw, no beans (like the menu stated) and disgusting potato salad. There was 6 in our party at one table and 2 at the smae table further to the end. Our waitress Maria served everyone on our side, including the other 2 at our table but skipped over us several times after saying 'I will be back to get your order."" Did I mention that the choce of menu and the actual food were HORRIBLE, not to mention cookies and watermelon for dessert! I'm trying to figure out what my $85 covered?? Really sad and ridiculous.. more

Cinco de Mayo Cruise 5/24/2012

Surprised my wife for her birthday and took her on the Cinco de Mayo Cruise and she loved it, specially the DJ and dancing the night away. It was kind of a bummer though when the DJ's system broke but we were pulling into port basically anyway. The food was great (Fajita dinner), good service and also nice views of Galveston and Clear Lake. All our friends all said they had a really good time too. I especially want to thank Jessica (in the office) for all her help and her prompt attention in getting my cruise set-up and organized. Thanks again Star Fleet for a great night. more

Do not purchase gift certiificates 5/23/2012

We purchased a gift certificate in 2011 for my husband?s birthday; however, my husband was severely injured and lost sight in one eye and his job. The gift certificate expired this year 2012, and now Star Fleet refuses to honor or at least credit half of the certificate for future use. DO NOT PURCHASE a gift certificate for they are only good for one year....and if you do not use it.....God forbid that something occur in your life that you cannot use it that year....Star Fleet just took your money.......Bad business ethics....talk about stealing people blind!!!!! more

ho hum cruise 5/14/2012

We went on the mother's day cruise. Well the star gazer itself was very nice and clean. The live music was a very pleasant singer. I opted for the private tables on the top level which would have been very nice if not for the fact that an entire extended family from below decided to occupy the only empty table next to us. So we have literally a dozen people including kids in the space intended for 4. They were constantly bumping into us and if we got up even for a minute from our RESERVED table, they would sit at it or crowd around it. Now you make think that this is not the crew's fault, but I made them aware and no one made an effort to even ask them to be more courteous to PAYING people. Not to mention that they got their own waiting person which meant that between the fact that our server was not very attentive and that they were blocking the waiting staff from being able to see us, they were getting drinks on a ratio of about 5 to 1. The food was also not cooked well at all. The meat was like rubber. Down stairs the buffet was apparently better. All in all, don't waste your time on upgrading. Just steal seats and occupy space, the ship apparently is ok with that. more

Pre-Mother's Day Luncheon 5/7/2012

The food was very good! Our Cruise Director Michelle & waitress Amy were great. The staff was patient & allowed me to make the decision to wait on 2 late comers. The Captian was very friendly he greeted the ladies as they boarded went over the emergency information, joked w/us and at the end took our group picture and even gave us a requested little dance number (LOL!)...it was hilarious. The ladies had a great time. The only cons was being on the top deck & speed boats kept speeding by us making the boat rock so a couple of the ladies got alittle sick. more
