Sport Loft

Highly recommended and definitely best of class. I have fairly complicated feet (including multiple surgeries) and have been fit at many shops over the years. They take boot fitting to a new level (including shell modifications) and they have a customer for life. There are less expensive stores out there but if you take skiing seriously this is the best possible way to spend your money (much more important than the skis). I bought both resort (alpine) and touring boots and the jump in both performance and comfort was well beyond my expectations. I've skied 50-100 days per year for many years and only wish I had found them sooner! more

Wanted to share my awesome experience with the guys at The Sports Loft. After researching a number of folks in the SLC area I decided based on customer reviews to put my skiing experience in their hands. I had skied in pain for the prior 8 years in boots that were ""fitted"" by a ski shop in St. Charles, IL. Jeremy spent several hours with me on the day of my arrival and explained what had been causing my pain and some options for solving my problem. He was able to help me understand in plain language and explained how different options might solve my unique needs. He was able after a short time to describe what I had been experiencing for years...like he had been wearing the boots. It was clear he really understood my issues from his examination of my foot and discussion of my current equipment. He gave me two options one I couldn't justify expense and another that fit my budget- not cheap but worth every dollar. After skiing in the new boots for 10 min and then after 7 days of morning to last lift they were awesome I was in complete control of my skis and with zero discomfort. I skied my best ever and although I'm over 50 I kept up with my mid 20's son and was ready for more at the end of the day. I share that I wasn't fitted to what they had in stock... But rather I was diagnosed and treated with the best equipment I could imagine. I really believe they would rather I left without buying anything if they couldn't fit me with the right equipment. As it took several hours including a couple after the normal closing time I got to see them working with other customers and could see that everyone gets the same level of attention to detail. This is not inexpensive but is worth every dollar. I wish i had done this with my first pair of boots years ago.. I'd be a better skier I'm sure. Jeremy and Earl have a customer for life and I'll never buy major equipment anywhere else. It's worth it to fly to SLC if you have never been fit correctly before as it made my ski experience so much more enjoyable and actually improved my skiing to the point my family noticed in a day. I've used a couple of other boot fitters/retailers around Alta, Park City, and Salt Lake City. The Sports Loft team is unquestionably a cut above all of them both in terms of technical expertise and customer service. Earl and his son Jeremy believe in creating customer relationships for the long term and this principle shows in all aspects of their business. My boots are the most comfortable I have ever had and they are perfect on the slopes. The custom foot bed was the best investment I have ever made for improving my skiing technique. Outstanding in every way! more
