Great food just like I came to know in Korea, reasonable prices, and nice atmosphere. A must-try! 8/20/2007

Tried this place in August 2007 after driving by - left full and very pleased! Recently returning from a year in Korea I'd been looking for a decent place but felt discouraged by reviews. I took my father here and felt like I was giving him one of the best impressions of Korean dining in America without breaking the bank or going to someone's home. \r \r We split the Kimchi Pancake (Pajon) appetizer and while pricey at $11, it was thick, hot, and delicious. We were brought six or seven side dishes, including cabbage kimchi, mung bean sprouts, stir-fried black beans, acorn/chesnut jelly, some sort of root kimchi, fermented sesame leaves, and some seasoned veggies. For the main course we had bolshot bibimbap (hot stone bowl rice and veggies) and haemul soondubu (seafood soft tofu soup). Both were piping hot and delicious, just the way I was used to. None of the ingredients were skimped on - loads of seafood, fresh veggies, and meat. \r \r Waitstaff was prompt, pleasant, and helpful (although we knew what we wanted and had no special requests). Don't forget to push the button on your table for service - they don't come by and bother you needlessly and it's not because they're being negligent.\r Always a good sign when Koreans are eating in a Korean restaurant and there were plenty. Didn't have any of the grill-at-your-table meats, but saw others with it and was happy with what I saw as far as quantity and quality.\r Good-sized dinner portions for two and an appetizer (and the standard side dishes) didn't break the bank at just under $40 after tax and tip.\r Probably wouldn't recommend to a strict vegetarian - the kimchi pancake which would normally be vege had a piece of octopus in it.\r \r Great food just like I came to know in Korea, reasonable prices, and nice atmosphere. A must-try! Pros: Reasonable prices, fresh and hot food, authentic tastes, easy to find, plenty of parking Cons: popular with families (kids can be noisy), not the best choice for vegetarians more
