When we found Silver Pond about 4 1/2 years ago, what a relief it was to find a good Chinese restaurant in Colorado Springs (not the East or West Coast - but passable). We have frequented the restaurant on a regular basis, but our experience this evening was the pits. The waiter brought our food, but no plates. We finally had to get up and ask for plates to be brought to the table (this is after he had apologized for bringing the food, but having too much to handle to bring plates - and then proceeded to deliver cocktails to another table, etc.). This is after we had to get place settings from another table since ours only had two and we were four. The owner made the obligatory rounds to ask how things were, but then assumed her place at the bar and was texting (maybe she should have been helping the waiter). The food has also changed and not for the better. It is really sad as we have made this a regular place for our family to dine, but it will be a very long time before we return to Silver Pond.
