I got a referral to call Mark (206.948.1060)about fixing a dishwasher that wouldn't drain. He was booked for the next few days, but spent some time with me on the phone to suggest a few things I might try to solve the problem. I did a few basic steps and found the problem was solved! I called Mark and offered to pay him for his phone advice, b/c I knew he saved me a bunch of money, but he refused payment. He was really a professional, most helpful. I'll definitely recommend him & call him again. more

Since we are not in West Seattle, I called Scott's brother Mark. I called him on a Saturday and made an appt for Monday. He called on Monday to narrow down when he would arrive from the original 3-hour window to 30 minutes. Which I really appreciate so I'm not hanging out all day. He arrived on time and got right to work. He was extremely fair and thorough. I highly recommend him. more

My only regret is not calling sooner. We recently moved to the area and I was a little hesitant to make a cold call - however, since my husband and I love to cook, an inoperable oven was really limiting our culinary activities. After blaming my sister for irreparably damaging my oven, I called on my Dad's home repair experience (no luck) and researched the cost of a new commercial stove ($$$$$). Four months passed, and I finally decide to call Mark. He was very personable and knew the quirks of our 30+ year old stove. He talked me through the steps and had my oven working in less than five minutes...at no charge!!! When I hung up the phone, my husband and I felt like we just won the Showcase Showdown on the Price is Right! It is so refreshing to find honest, experienced people that give you more than you've come to expect. more

Scott doesn't work in Fremont or the North end of Seattle (apparently he has plenty of referrals from 20 years and a great reputation in West Seattle, Alki and White Center) so he referred me to his brother Mark at # 206.948.1060. Mark called me back within a few hours of me leaving a message. After some brief troubleshooting on the phone to make sure it was not just a breaker that needed to be reset, he made an appointment for a 3 hour window the next day. He called me 45 minutes before arrival to make sure that I could still be home to meet him. He was personable, professional, and experienced. We had a good conversation while he worked. Mark gave me a worst case cost estimate after taking a look at the dryer before starting any work. He had the replacement part needed with him, checked for other issues that might cause future problems and would be cheaper to fix while he was repairing the existing problem, told me why they did not look like they needed to be addressed at this time. Finished the work in an hour for $20 less than the estimate (including tax). I would hire Mark again for any kitchen or laundry appliance repairs without hesitation. more

Scott was concise and precise and didn't do anything more than exactly what needed to be done. That service, combined with a passion for his work reminiscent of "the good ole days" and a fee to match, makes him the ultimate in appliance repair! more

I called Scott to fix my fridge in my Northeast Seattle rental. He referred me to his brother, Mark Wiseman, who came right when he promised, found the problem before I got there, fixed it, and was gone within 40 minutes. His rates were reasonable, he worked hard, and he explained what went wrong, how common of a problem it was, and how he fixed it. So, if Scott doesn't come to your neck of the woods, I would highly recommend his brother Mark. more

Scott Wiseman isn't much of a chitchatter. Instead he shows up when he says he's going to, comes in and takes a look a your broken appliance, goes and gets the part from his car, tells you as he's fixing it why he thinks it stopped working and explains what he is doing now, then he gives you an easy to read, itemized bill @ a very fair price. Then he swoops back to his van and leaves . . . very much like a superhero, doing his rounds. more
