Sandy's Seafood Market is a great locally owned and operated Seafood Market. With the troubling economic times, the store might have fewer choices, but that is only because they refuse to sell anything less than high quality fish. Sandy's is known for their homemade pickled herring and smoked salmon. Using only the freshest ingrediants and years of making this pickled delicacy make it a must have at many parties, holidays, and other events. If you are in the area, definately stop in and say hi to Wendi, the owner.. She has a great wealth of knowledge about the area, the local fish, and she'll probably even offer you a sample of her secret herring recipe. Definately worth the drive from any location. I would suggest you call in advance to make sure she isn't out on a delivery..
