Fabulous!! 10/9/2008

My husband and I were looking for a new chiropractor and was reffered to Dr Rosquist. We are so grateful for him! He is so knowledgeable in so many areas! He totally fixed my husband's back (that had been hurting for a long long time) and he currently is doing acupuncture on me. He is great and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone that is fed up with traditional western medicine. Pros: Knowledgeable, no waiting Cons: None more

15 years and counting.... 9/5/2008

About 15 years ago, my car got totaled on a snowy winter morning by a driver going way too fast. The impact messed up my shoulder. I went to two different chiropractors who talked constantly about suing and gave me their "special' attorneys cards. What a turn off. I finally went to Dr. Rosquist..who focused on my shoulder pain and nothing else.... and have been a patient of his ever since. I've had to see Dr. at least once or twice every year.- sometimes because I irritated the shoulder by lifting or running, etc. There have been times I've been in severe pain, unable to function-and I've never once left Dr. R's office not feeling 1000 times better. I'm not insured, and never once felt overcharged or over processed, etc. $30-$50 is a huge bargain to me to feel like a human again. Also, I'm a runner. When I started to run, I realized very quickly that I had to have some kind of insert in my running shoes, or I'd incur severe hip pain. I kept buying the cheap store kind, but went through them very quickly. I brought this up to Dr. R, and he showed me how my ankle turns just slighty, causing a twist in my leg, which of course, was affecting my hip. He designed some running orthotics for me; they weren't cheap, but I've used them for years with no pain. He ALWAYS suggests a follow-up appointment after treating me, but I NEVER do it. Usually because I feel "fixed" after one appointment, and I get on with life. I've not once, in 15 years encountered anyone "snotty" at Dr. R's office. Although I'm not a member of any religious organization, I feel the reading material Dr. Rosquist chooses to put in the office of his PRIVATE practice is his business. I'm a grown-up and I'm allowed to choose what I want to read. I've actually enjoyed getting caught up on my Readers Digest on the rare occasions that I've had to wait longer than 5 minutes. Also, Dr. Rosquist is in Riverton now, citysearch needs to update. Pros: good chiropractor, lots of parking, great sofa in the waiting room Cons: Um, can't think of any. Used to be in Murray, glad he's in Riverton now. more

Don't ... 10/14/2007

Absolutely the worst! If you go ... you are sure to receive a few snotty responses from the incompetent administrative staff who may refuse to believe that you have insurance if it's a Saturday, so be prepared to pay the full amount of the visit including any extras Dr. Gary insists are essential to a diagnosis, then get reimbursed ("the check's in the mail"). Dr. Gary will want to sell you goods and services you don't need (such as orthotics), but your office visit will be a bit sparse when it comes to adjustments or actual care. Some of the equipment used by this chiropractic office is very outdated, circa 1980s. After Dr. Gary spends an hour asking you questions and hooking you up to a few electrodes for 20 minutes, he will give you pelvic thrust exercises that you can easily find on the Internet and instructions to use ice instead of heat. THEN ... he will want to see you in two days to "follow up". You would think moderate back pain was more critical than a heart condition based on the urgency for the next appointment. I have been to two other chiropractors in SLC - one was competent but moved from SLC; the other was competent and had great equipment but, like Dr. Gary, was too eager to set a follow up visit. People ... don't be fooled! When a "professional" is that eager to set a next appointment, they are hurting for cash flow and you ought to run fast because their advice is going to be clouded by dollar signs. There are religious books and magazines in every single office in the building. There was NOTHING good about this service aside from the convenient midvalley location and plenty of parking. And ... I lived through my first (and only) visit. You will too! Pros: Midvalley location and plenty of parking Cons: Staff attitude; practitioner competence; lack of effective treatment; poor value more
